Boxer Bernard Hopkins says MMA is gay porno, not a sport

In basketball you are restricted to dribbling the ball, and you can not use your feet to deflect the ball. how lame?

In Football play stops when a knee hits the ground, weak.

In Boxing you can't someone on the ground. Not cool.

In MMA you are restricted to small area and you cannot use dirty tatics. How lame. Thats not a sport.

In life you're restricted to the laws of physics. FAIL

All these rules are bogging me down. I just want to be a free spirit.

 

I'm going to add another point to this debate regarding MMA to boxing. If the argument is that a good boxer could destroy MMA fighters yes that is true in a straight up boxing match. Even without the ground fighting though under MMA rules a boxer would have trouble defending against low kicks such as Muay Thai kicks to the sciatic nerve cluster in the thigh.

An MMA fighter trained to do that could very likely cripple a boxer since the boxer isn't trained to block low or catch kicks.

 

Kick-boxing. Sport of the future.

 

I'm pretty sure its been stated that a MMA guy would beat a boxer in a mma match and a Boxer would beat a mma guy in a Boxing match. It wouldn't be a fair fight for either guy to cross over without any training involved.

 

Some people on Clutchfans honestly have a misplaced chromosome.

 

That doesn't seem to be what's been stated in this thread. Many of the posts are about how a Boxer would kill an MMA guy including comments how an MMA guy would get knocked out if they tried to shoot or that a fight wouldn't get to the ground.

 

Lets all agree that K1 owns all!
