    BTW, AVGN guy is reviewing horror films again. I get a kick out of them.

    That may be the case with some others, but not me. I’ve never been about the blood and guts. I’m more about the disturbing imagery and semi-realistic plotline. A plotline I can relate to tends to creep me out more than the blood guts and gore.

    Perhaps I was too hard on Psycho. I think it’s actually a good movie, just not scary at all. I would put it more in the ‘suspense’ category. I’m sorry, but a guy in a wig with a knife doesn’t do it for me. And the mother’s voice just seemed cheesy to me.

    I agree that it was a good movie (LOVED the opening theme music!), I just don’t think it was in the least bit scary. You may be right that it’s because it’s been imitated and spoofed so many times.
