loved him during his glory days with bibby, webber, and co. on the adelman coached kings, but the dude just about drove me to tear my hair out during his stint in h-town. the playoff series with the jazz 2 years ago was rough, watching jackson and rafer get abused by deron williams was painful
Looked at the Kings roster weeks ago, could conclude he wasn't going to get picked up after his contract expired. He had a pretty decent solidly paying career to feel good about. He was just gonna due to get worn down. He was pushed into starter's minutes 30+ a game, when that was never his role his entire career. And even in his younger days in backup minutes he had numerous injuries.
Thanks for the memories Bobby . Although every player hates to retire, there is life after the NBA . Just remember, the body wears and tears, but the love for basketball is as durable as forever
Enjoy retirement Bobby! I remember your college days at Minnesota and your fearless shooting with the Kings. You had a good career. Should have won a title in Sacramento but had some very bad luck the two most promising years (Horry's jumper and Webber's injury).
As a Rocket, I will forever remember his first game here (against Chicago) and that Laker game when we won 22 in a row. That game was crazy.
Ill never forget his contributions to the team during 22 game win streak and the playoffs that year. Good Career Bobby!!
Saw him with his family at Papasito's during his Rockets stint. I said, "Hey Bobby! You're on my fantasy team! Good luck in the playoffs!" He said "Thanks." We had a moment.
