Started listening to Christian music again and started downloading some christian rap. I like LeCrae a lot, and the big groups like Grits and TobyMac. Any other good Christian rappers out there?
don't know about christian rappers, but I can give you a christian single, like "the convo" by dmx where he speaks to god. "why you chose the hood for me. Mean I'm aiight, I just had to work hard at it. Went to gran'ma for answers, she told me that god had it. So now here I am, confused and full of questions. Am I born to lose, or is this just a lesson. And who it's goin' choose when it gets turned around. And will it be layin' in my own blood and on the ground. "
Christian rap is probably the lowest form of musical expression. Even when I was a hardcore Christian, I couldn't stand listening to that stuff. I guess you could say its "God-awful"
How about some Christian Hardcore Metal? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rVgxibascVo&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rVgxibascVo&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> I jam this and im nonreligious.
I haven't listened to Christian rap, and don't know if I'd like it, but I have an appreciation for the OP's interest in music that may correspond to his faith. Even without they typical production value (I'm assuming) of most other music out there, I can respect a man for listening to music that he feels falls in line with his spirituality. Wish I could help more with suggestions, but hope you find something new that you like.
These are the interesting things I've been shown recently: 1st one's not rap but has a section in the middle: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vE57VcA8E_M&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vE57VcA8E_M&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/462GNf0nl4c&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/462GNf0nl4c&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> I met this next guy when he came to perform. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/neZ4nxhiX3Y&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/neZ4nxhiX3Y&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8f_ehoH3XPw&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8f_ehoH3XPw&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
Underoath, Still Remains, Norma Jean, The Chariot, Becoming the Archetype. Now thats some good ass Christian Death Metal.
not true. just turn on 104 krbe. nearly any song you hear will be hollow and void of any meaning. there are some good christain rappers....some. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yLHK0fRCVlY&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yLHK0fRCVlY&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x3a3a3a&color2=0x999999" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I had a cousin who was really into Toby Mac or whatever the hell. Just the worst kind of crap ever. Could not stand. Do not want.
I looked up one of your recommendations The Joker, and found this other Christian rapper (Trip Lee) that was featured on one of the songs. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dKYbF6_xqBo&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dKYbF6_xqBo&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
I don't know, Christian Rap just sounds...odd to me. It's like blending country music with gangsta rap lyrics. This is probably as religious as I'll get when it comes to Rap music. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Xpmr8Shy_UA&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Xpmr8Shy_UA&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

You should check out The Last Suppa. Big Baby Jesus, The Beat Boxin' Prophet, and DJ Orthodoxy are amazing.
thanks for the suggestions. Trip Lee sounds real good, so does Ambassador... I downloaded a lot of his stuff. And as for the Underoath stuff, always loved them. If you like Underoath, check out Skillet, you'll like it. And for you that think Christian rap is a disgrace to music.... why did you click on the thread?
