Here's a nice preview video from nfl.com about our upcoming game. Its basically all Texans talk and VERY Pro-Schaub (this is for you DD).. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d81399165/49ers-vs-Matt-Schaub
The Texans really need this game. I would love to see the defense put it all together for an entire game. This also applies to the offense.
DD should watch that video...Still waiting for the list of 20 QBs that are better than Schaub. Probably asked this 4-5 times now.
Getting a little anxious about this game. The 49ers and Singletary have had two weeks to stew over that pounding they took from Atlanta, and now we're getting all this praise ... San Fran might come out playing some mean football. I think this is going to be a pretty tough game, but we should win this as long as we don't lose the turnover battle.
All 4 guys on Inside the NFL picked them as well. Sapp said our offense is basically unstoppable. Uh oh, indeed.
we all say uh-oh because the texans have not given us any reason to say otherwise... no consistency... constant let downs... at some point, that has to change.. and i will continue to foolishly believe that the next chance to turn the corner is when we will turner that corner..
i'm with you. i know full well what they've done...and yet i absolutely believe they're going to win on sunday.
Yeah that worried me too. My overall feeling is that we'll win, but I hate to get my hopes up with these guys. Plus we won last week so given the trend, we're due for a loss. Hopefully the trend ended last week. Should be a good game. I'm mostly looking forward to the D stepping up to the plate for a fourth consecutive game. I think depending on how we play this week, I'll make my call for how I think the rest of the season will go. We should have a good idea of who we are after this one. I would also love to go into the game with Indy 5-3. I think we'll split the series with them this year.
He's just waiting for a bad game from Schaub to pop back and say, "SEE! TOLD YA!" Hence his absence from the Texans/Bengals thread.
I wouldn't say bad "game" from Schaub but more so a Texans loss for his reappearance. Schaub has had outstanding games this season (minus the Jets) and he only seems to appear when we lose where he conventiently puts all the blame on, as he says, Matt "I'm Just an Average Quarterback at best" Schaub.
true. Matt may go off for 350, 3 tds and 1 int(some meaningless int in the 1st quarter probably)...but no, it was matt's fault.
Well, his logic is Schaub isn't good enough to lead the Texans to victory, so a loss from the Texans is in fact a bad game from Matt Schaub.
I've seen it stated in this thread a couple of times and I'm going to go ahead and restate....damned be the football gods Texans should and will win this game. The lightbulb is warming up and this game is a must win for Kubiak, so he'll have the team ready. We will pass to set up the run and the 50 boys will keep Gore in check. Look for Pollard and Demeco to say hello to Crabtree, if you know what I mean. I'm expecting screens to be our primary "running" game, and Jacoby may get a few more looks than usual, as the defense keys on andre and daniels. the key to this game (as with most) will come down to protecting the ball. If Schaub will look at film and quit telegraphing the out route, Slaton decides he actually wants to continue playing for Kubiak and holds onto the football, and Jacoby "carnie hands" Jones concentrates on catching before running, we should be fine.
