Not sure that latest "she gets nothing" link is reliable, but props to Lamar if he pulled that off. The minimum is usually splitting their shared residence 50/50 and some level of alimony.

That said, having even one child together will set her (and the kid) up for life. Not that her family isn't already doing well enough - but adults have to support themselves and she'll succeed in being able to do so without ever having to go job hunting.

 

I was skeptical of the reported agreement that gave KK so much. I am just as skeptical that she would want nothing but Lamars good intentions in a divorce settlement.

 

Well, Khloe comes from a rich family, so even if she gets nothing, it really doesn't matter

Why must any wealth be transferred in the case of a divorce if there are no children involved? Women are now as free as men to do whatever they want. These social customs came into being ages ago and in exchange for the fact that women were owned, forced to stay home, forced to be the enslaved housewives, etc.

Women have to start being honest about the fact that they are pushing for greater equality and simultaneously pushing for exponentially growing discriminatory gifts and priviliges.

Obviously, people have stolen women's rights and freedoms for thousands of years, they've been oppressed, they've been marginalized, and they deserve respect for the history the've endured and they deserve our understanding in this basically embryonic phase of re-integration into society. Gender equality only made a dramatic shift in the last 100 years, which is nothing compared to how long they were kept down.

But it's a fallacy to think that (number of years oppressed) = (number of years of reverse gender inequality required to make up for it). There's no revenge. There's no making up for it. No woman owes me anything for treating women better than men treated women ages ago. Also, I don't owe any woman anything just because women were treated bad historically. Our duty is to understand the history, identify the errors, fix them, and agree at least in principle that our goal is gender equality rather than gender revenge.

Money has absolutely nothing to do with marriage unless its a religious marriage or a purely commercial marriage. Get that crap out of here.

My God, do you all realize that Lamar Odom will probably now end up getting an insurance policy to cover divorce?

What if Lamar Odom was one of the billions of people who couldn't afford the lawyer that would end up drafting this pre-nup, would she still be interested in drafting one then?
