2012 may not be the end of the world, but it very well can be the start of the end of the world , or should i say...global warming??? either way
Can they, Yes....Will they..no.. They can if Yao comes back next season as healthy as Big 'Z' has in Cleveland and AB continues his steady progression Scolandry nailing down the 4 spot, Ariza and Battier knockin down 3's and playing great D...with the quailty of role players we have...we can. But most likely, they won't. I doubt that they will even get to the Finals. Portland(if they ever get it together) looks like they are in it for the long haul. LA is still LA, San Antonio is nearing the end of their run, but in the meantime still dangerous. I believe those WC teams will have the market cornered as the WC represenrtative in the Finals for the next 5 years.
The 2010-2011 season will probably be the best (and possibly only) chance that the Rockets have for a shot at the title. Yao + Big Free Agency Name + Developing Young Stars I.E. Brooks, Landry, Scola + Tenacious defenders in Ariza/Battier. And we got ourselves a championship roster.
I voted no prior to reading this post. I totally agree with RocketsRed plus I have high hopes for Budinger to be able to provide major help at that time.
you realize i'm kidding right?? i'm going to have to stop making this joke because i think a few people here think i'm serious.
It's hard enough to predict where you are going to be much less the Rockets. I think the 5 year window is obviously too long. People are having a hard time predicting what will happen this year, and we're in the preseason! The only thing that will be constant in 5 years is DD!
