    2001-2002 CBA regular season
    Yao Ming: avg point 32.4

    Playoff:
    Yao Ming: avg point 38.9

Final game: Ming: avg point over 40 (I forget the number)

Why are Ming's scores at playoff and final games higher than regular season? He had to play the stong teams at playoff, right? So he's supposed to have lower points.

Because David Benit (spell?) joined Shanghai Sharks at March and played all the playoff and final games with Ming. This is the only reason I can find right now.

No, it's 29.7 for the season and 37.7 for the playoffs.

    It's 713/24=29.7 not 713/22=32.4...

Just think of what Ming could do if he was on a decent team and played the whole game. 9-10-4 could be 18-20-8. Yahoo

Windandsea there might be another reason. Some players thrive come playofftime/crunchtime. They play well the rest of the year but in the playoffs they bring out their a-level game. I think in this draft we were able to get two of those players. Ming's numbers went up significantly and so did Nachbar's in the Euroleague playoffs. Well at least I hope that's the case.
