Howdy ho fellas! Still wanna play ball? I'm setting up a game in Houston for the last weekend of June or the 2nd or 3rd weekend in July. It will be in Houston more than likely at the Post Oak YMCA. The format will be pick-up unless we get more than 20 interested people (like we have now). At any rate, all 5 on 5 games WILL be refereed. That way nobody will get hurt. Some of us are old like Hoop-T, and can't hang with the joungins. Give me an e-mail at either my hotmail account (philip_w_moore_jr@hotmail.com) or at me at vivitar@swbell.net. Gimme a holler if you guys have questions. Pst,s2nd ------------------ Wanna play in the clutchcity.net game? Got some ideas? E-mail me at philip_w_moore_jr@hotmail.com and I'll send a batch e-mail with details as they develop.
If anyone wants to go to some playground or park with a rim afterwards, let me know. I'm not real interested in 5 on 5, with referees. First off, I don't know how long I could hang with full court. Secondly, I'm not to keen on the ref idea. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem. [This message has been edited by DREAMer (edited May 24, 2000).]
When I lived in Houston, I played at the Post Oak YMCA for about 5 years. If I remember correctly, we had a full court 5 on 5 every Saturday morning at 7am. We also played 4 on 4 on 2 courts at 11:30am -1:30pm M- F, and from 4pm-7pm Monday through friday. I moved to Austin, and play at the Town Lake Y during lunches now. I miss the good ole Post Oak, met some good people there. I will be visiting next week and plan to play Wed at 4pm if anyone is interested. DaDakota ------------------
I would need to know the exact date of the game because I live in Rhode Island and I need to book my flight. ------------------ THE DEAN HAS WRITTEN
Hey P1S2, I am only 27.....but feel a lot older when I play these days! I am in, barring business travel. E-mail me when you get a firm date so I can open up my calendar for it. Thanks for the update! ------------------ HOOP-T Hey Shaq, Acme called, and they want their bricks back!

I wish I had that kind of money. popeye, who's this friend you think we'd be so keen on? *if my aching back will let me. God, I'm starting to feel my age! ------------------ fan is short for fanatic - logic has little to do with it.
It is at Augusta and San Felipe just Northwest of the Galleria. There are also courts at 1-10 and Barker-Cypress at the Sheriff's Station. 5 halfcourts never fully occupied. ------------------
Great idea Clutch!!! Pictures would be great to post on the site. Hey, maybe after several of these games, we can begin playing rival sites...say, the Oregon site that JCBlazersgirl33 is from?? I am getting ahead of myself here. Sorry! But I would work out and train like Rocky for that!!!! ------------------ HOOP-T Hey Shaq, Acme called, and they want their bricks back!
