God is a spirit and science cannot possibly detect or find evidence for God. Your scope of reference for finding God is very and vastly limited. God is invisible so He doesn't have to limit himself. He came to earth and told us, Jesus.
Why would God come to Earth as a Human being? How do you know Jesus is God's son or whatever you call it? Why was Jesus born "naturally" (through a woman) and not spawned by God. Why is Jesus so much different from Horus another Egyptian "God" who was the result of a "virgin" birth. This doesnt make sense and you are now saying that Jesus IS the son of god and claiming it as a fact, not a belief.
Logically that is the perfect reference point we need, a human reference point. The correct question is why do I believe it? I will answer you when I have time or email me and I will answer that. It was both, God's Spirit caused His natural mother to be pregnant without sperm. Jesus is different because he was human, historical, and representative of God's character, love.
I wont beileve in a god because some human reference said that God exists and that he is his son, maybe Jesus isnt the son of a god and his mother had an affair with a different man? How do you also know that Jesus represents God? How would you know what God is like, he hasnt revealed himself to us, he hasnt said anything to us. Mohammed the Islamic prophet claims god talked to him, why dont you beileve in that? I mean Mohammed is a Human reference, apparently the best kind of reference.
how dare you? this is a man who gives away EVERYTHING. i know rhester. i know him personally. he doesn't profit one CENT from a worldy perspective. he meets people where they are and loves them as they are. he serves a master who gave up everything and emulates it about as well as i've seen any human being emulate it. i was fine with everything you said until you slandered this guy. he's absolutely the epitome of a man who lives in service of other human beings out of love. he is the kind of person i hope i have the courage to become.
I wasn't stating this to try to get you to believe in God, I already said you can't. Jesus put love in my heart.
I am not quite the person MadMax said, but I know if we met I would love you. It would be great to meet if you are in the Houston area. I feel God's love for you. Just a feeling, please don't be offended by that.
.....................lol. What I said wasnt that serious, I wasnt wishing death upon him, id be glad if someone told me that I raked in cash.
I get the sense that those of you who don't believe on this board think that those of us who do have this sorta fantasy land belief where we read some stories and just adopted them. I have stories from MY OWN EXPERIENCE that affirm to me what I take as faith. I can't prove scientifically to any of you that the source of the transformations in these stories is actually the God of the Bible. But I believe them to be so because I find them so remarkable. So odd. So different from the cynicism of the rest of the world. Am I nuts??? Maybe I am. But I want you to ALL understand that from my own view, my faith has been affirmed 100 times over. In more ways that you could imagine. I'm not going to say any of you are illogical or stupid for not believing in the God I believe in. I'm not going to criticize you or assume anything about you personally, because you think different than I do. I can only hope you're willing and big enough to afford that same kind of respect for the rest of us illogical crazy folks who believe there is a real God.
thanks, but in truth I know myself better and I can only say Jesus has given me way more than I can ever understand, express or reflect properly and I love Him with all my heart there are great people in D&D both Christian and non Christian
To each his own, brother. I follow my life, you go with yours. Ive always been skeptical of religion, you can believe and share your religion with the ones who want to find out more but I choose to disagree from what I know. 6 billion people on Earth, hundreds of different beliefs and religions. Nobody will believe the same as you do.
I don't believe in any of that stuff either, but the difference is faith. Religions have faith in all of this -- they're well aware it's not a scientifically proven fact or whatever (well, most are, I think). They have faith it is the truth, and it is their choice to believe it is. Whatever belief tickles your pickle is fine by me, as long as it doesn't hurt others. Warped beliefs that yield terrorism or hatred can suck a fat one, but for the most part, religion has benefits when it gives people a moral blueprint to follow (which can then take any shape) and gives people strength in times of need. At least that's how I view religion. I would never follow one simply because I don't believe in these sorts of things, but I understand the need/benefit of faith and respect it. You should try it some time.
Faith is the belief of something without proof. I have many reasons as to why I dont beileve in faith as Ive stated above, I do respect what people follow, but like I said a krazillion times, I dont like it when people accept it as a fact.
who on this message board has forced God down your throat? who provoked the crap you've posted here? who was hostile towards your views? you've been afforded room and respect with every post. you've afforded very little of that in return.
Ease up broski. Nobody has forced anything upon me, I have my freedom of religion as the 1st amendment states.
