I thought the parts you didn't bold, stood out more. IMO, it sounds like the Rockets have moved on with Brooks and Ariza. Adelman's saying more of the same, the Rockets need more scoring and playmaking.Tracy has those skills, not necessarily Adelman saying, he doesn't care if he plays to his system or not.
Because not playing off the ball is not conducive to winning. According to some people here everyone should be playing "hot potato" with the ball and only hold on to it for more than 2 secs if you're gonna shoot.
Because he is also one of our best finishers, and we have not won diddly with Tracy controlling tempo. He also needs to run the freaking wing once in a blue moon.
he was one of are best finishers we have plenty of finishers now .didn't we win 22 in a row with tmac controlling the offense.it's not like we have nash at pg.what we do have is a pg that can shoot and play off the ball better then someone just coming back from a knee injury.
I have one theory against the logic. Why is everybody thinking they are the HOF coach who knows EXACTLY what is CONDUCIVE to WINNING? What I can extract from the article is that RA is stating Tracy should be 100 percent or near 100 percent to influence the game positively. He does not say anything about ball hogging because he trusts an healthy TMAC. He knows that Tmac is going to pass the ball. What is unclear is if Tracy can D up effectively and helping others defensively. That remained to be seen. On offense we need every piece of HEALTHY TRACY out there.
the only thing I never like about Rick is his teams have never been know for there toughness. Although Portlands's was underrated at the time, no one ever thinks of a tough minded team under him.
I still sometimes don't understand and don't like his decisions bt so far he has been solid. It is gonna be a tough season for him.
Nowhere did Adelman say he looks forward to Tracy dribbling the clock out before shooting a 20 foot fade-away jumper or standing while someone dunks the ball in his face.
To me, that says a lot. So much for Trevor being an "elite defender" in the eyes of the only person that matters. I'm telling everyone here, Ariza is going to end up being the whipping boy of the city of Houston for the next 2-3 years (until he is moved). The expectations on him are way too high. He is none-dimensional offensively and overrated defensively. He is not even a very good one-on-one defender much less an elite one.
