Sorry if I came off arrogant, I was being sarcastic. I guess you couldn't tell the difference. I wasn't trying to cop-out. I was wrong to say many, but the point was why was Eddie being pursued heavily by Denver if he has nothing to do with the Nets success? If Byron Scott is such a good coach then explain to me some of his genius decisions like playing Shaq one-on-one for the first 2 games? Or taking out Jason Kidd EVER...

Can't we just all get along.

What about Dallas? I haven't heard anyone mention them. I purposefully left them out thinking some Dallas trolls would jump on it. But not even Mav3434 said anything.

So I'll say it. I think Houston has a brighter future than Dallas. And don't tell me the Mavericks future is now. Until you at least make it to the WCF you are nothing but playoff fodder.

"The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades...". Hell yeah, the future is bright for the Rocks. With one caveat, the health of our players. Surely we're due for some luck in that department. So many went down last season, or played hurt (Cat, for example, was playing through some bad ankles much of the time). MoT didn't play at all, and Rice shouldn't have. Cato showed up so out of shape, it was an injury to the team. When Steve played, much too often, he probably shouldn't have as well. Etc., etc. (sigh).

I realize the vast majority of you folks know all this, but I thought it might be useful info for some of our new friends that have come to the BBS since Yao fell into our laps. Our record last season was an anomaly.

Truce then...no offense taken...as far as Scott goes...I dont think he is some genius that makes the Nets tick, but the players, especially Kidd, love him. He and Scott have a mutual respect for one another and are very close...in fact, Byron Scott lives in my town...and Kidd looked at several houses here as well just to be close to Scott. (Kidd eventually settled on a nicer town).

Its clearly Kidd's team but they respect Scott's accomplishments (even though he wasn;t the star of those Laker teams) and in turn, respect him. As for the one on one vs Shaq goes, your guess is as good as mine. Its not like any other teams had an answer for him or did anything to stop him either so who knows. The only explanation for sitting Kidd for the amount of time he did was that Kidd was tired... I really don;t know.

Good point. IF he cana come into camp in shape that would be a big bonus to the team.

    I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not either. And I haven't heard one word about him going to a big-man camp this summer.

I just gotta chime in on the Nets "argument" ...

If Kidd leaves, it's only to be with Duncan or mebbe Orlando methinks. Chances are greater that he stays, but the chance that he leaves is far from slight. I think teams will go after him harder than Webber was sought for. But I don't really think they have a bright future even with Kidd. A solid team, but not a bright future.

    neway, "bright future" teams:

    Chicago

    Indianna

    Memphis

Denver is in the making. Not next year, but add in another lotto pick to Nene and Tsika, + some cap space, and they could end up being a dangerous team.

Clipps, if they pay out $$$

    Houston

all have question marks, but they all appear to have brighter futures than their records suggest.

Its definitely exciting to be a Rockets fan. The Rockets roster is stocked with talent and potential. The future is bright.

We also have one of the greatest owners. He puts a good effort into making this team better each year nad he lets the coaches coach.
