<Perhaps I'm the champion of lost causes, but I think we've got enough fire power to go at least as far as we went last year. Maybe further, if Yao does a Willis-Reed-limping-into-the-arena act come playoffs... No matter the outcome, our guys will be easy to root for.>

Yep, your a champion of lost causes lol. :)

This is barely a playoff team, much less a second round team.

if this team has to depend on a couple of rookies to step up, then they are in trouble. TMac has to be healthy given that YM is out for the year.

if conroy gets cut, he will just go to another team and contribute, and stick with that other team for the rest of the year (see kelena azubuke going to warriors after being cut by rockets).

An entertaining and exciting game to follow on a computer!
Rookies playing against three starters in the 4th Qtr didn't help.
Although there is along way to go it's about time to trim the roster down and get our rotation established. By the way Coach 'a' is painfully slow at making substitutions when the game demands it!! :p

hasn't happened so far in his career. imo, conroy's being overrated. he wasn't even the best PG on the rockets SL team. mike green was.

Should be obvious to anyone who watched him last season. There's a reason why he wasn't voted as coaching you want calling the last play in crunch time :p That's why if possible I'd like us to cash in some of our assets and build a top-heavy team just like that Sac team to make decisions easy for coach A.

We can't play brong behind every single game. If we do that in the season, we won't win more than 30 games.

We are not playing well at all. We are not a running team and the defense took a step back. But it is just preseason. No chemistry, etc. Hopefully it'll be fixed when the season starts.

And we really need McGrady, because besides Brooks we have no guys to create.

Just his philosophy. To have guys figure it out themselves before he takes action.

Ron Artest wasn't exactly the perfect fit for that plan last year...

Dont know if this was posted before, but at home the only TV service I can get is Uverse. The problem I was having is during the Bucs' game my screen would freeze up (like a scratched DVD) and sound would go in and out ONLY during the slow mo replays. I never seen this issue before and it was quite annoying. Was this the network or do I have to call AT&T.?

I think FSHouston was having some issues last night. I had times when it would do that as well.

Artest and Wafer were toughest players we had. Scola is tough under the basket but can only jump 2 inches off the floor. Battier is fundamentally sound. All around we are not the tough team we were last year we still have to develop a chemistry as well. Budinger is good as a rookie. At the end of the 4th quarter can Budinger hit the big shots. That still has to be seen or developed. We still have to see what things will be like in the season we are 0-0.

Scola is just as tough as Artest. The opponents hate him. And Lowry is plenty tough. Both of those guys are tougher than Wafer. This is a better team as constructed right now than the team that took the Lakers to 7 games without Yao and McGrady.

That happened to me constantly with UVerse High Def channels. I got fed up and got DirecTV because of that issue and of course UVerse doesn't have the NBA Package.

No kidding. Scola is a master of the unseen elbow in the ribs, the knee in the thigh, the forearm in the face that somehow doesn't get seen by the refs. One of the best compliments I've read about Luis was the one from Ariza. The guy hated Scola until Trevor got traded to his team, because he drove you crazy with that stuff. Now he loves him. Depends on perspective, doesn't it. ;)

I hate Uverse and I cant get Comcast (non-serviceable area) but thanks for the feedback, I just think thats the weirdest glitch I have ever seen (and I work for Comcast and never heard of this with our boxes). But how does it know to selectively gitch up ONLY during replay's , oh well time to check out the yellowpages for some satellite.

    OH yeah GO ROX!!

wow.. i never realized this before.. i mean i know that some people wrote an article about how dirty his style of playing but i consider that as playing with heart and hustle.. i guess i'm being subjective about his play.. :D

One of my complaints is the replacement refs constantly blowing the whistle, they need to be taught how to ref in the NBA or get the regular ones back, if not it's going to be a long season. Also a question for the people who attended the game at Toyota Center, did it sound like J.P. the announcer guy said a signed Tracy McLady jersey during the halftime musical chairs? I thought it did but wasn't sure.

There are different types of tough. I think that Scola, Battier and Hayes are mentally tough (for sure, they are physically tough too). So they can always work hard on court. But Ron and Wafer are not mentally tough. They can easily lose concentration on the game and be frustrated.
