I know I said when the Olympiakos played the Spurs on Friday that it would be one of the last time we would see him before he gets back to the NBA. If you don't care about this game then don't post anything. If you do care about it then please post your support for Von. It is on Fox Sports Ohio so I will be able to watch the game since I live in Ohio. I will update you guys on what is going on if there is no stream to watch.

    Look,

Von and the Rockets made a business decision. Von took the higher offer.....it was good for him.....

He is still young and can come back to the NBA next year...or the year after...

And Wafer destroys Ariza on offense. Von can create shots easily, his athleticism is amazing.

Sorry man, but Von and Trevor arent even in the same class of players. Plain and simple. Ariza had multiple teams throwing him their full MLE(and supposedly the cavs offered more) Wafer couldn't even find a job in the NBA for more than probably like $1.5 a year. Guys like wafer are a dime a dozen in the NBA.

What is up with this Von love? This is the same guy that got shut down and frustrated by Sasha Vuyahbitch

Ariza has a better fg percentage and he gets his shot in the flow of the offense while being the 3rd/4th option? Wafer ballhogs everytime he gets into the game.

    Von made a mistake.

He should have played for less for ANY NBA team. If he succeeds here he gets the big contract.

He won't get a big contract unless he proves he is worth it HERE.

Who are you responding to, bro?

Nobody in this thread questioned Von's or the Rockets' decision. All the guy did was mention that Von's team is playing the Cavs on Monday.

He only got all of those offers because he got to play with the best player in the world and that is why he was so successful. He can't do much offensively without the help a all-star player.

Von did not get shut down by Sasha, he might have shot bad in 1 game but he played well in the other games.

And @ the guy who said people like Von are a dime in a dozen, how come we can't find a consistent one like Von was.

I am done arguing about this because all of the facts are there about how Von made us a much better team last year.

This is a thread about Von against the Cavs tomorrow not about Ariza.

Wafer is Maxwell 2.0 - yes, it sucks he's gone, but it is what it is. Rox won without Max and hopefully will do the same again.

Ariza does everything well whereas Von just knew how to put the ball in the basket while exciting the crowd. Anyhow, good luck to von, I hope he goes off for a big game.

Actually you're right about Ariza playing better when he plays off of another All-Star caliber player but the money he was offered was for his defense, his athleticism, and his potential.

Von was just an athletic player who can score. Tons of players have that ability. That's why Jermaine Taylor was drafted. Von barely played defense, and one of his best defensive plays was when he stole that ball against Portland in the playoffs for a dunk. It's not like he ever locked anyone down. So I disagree that Wafer is a dime in the dozen, he's just another scorer and there are plenty of guys like that.

No he wont. ariza is getting adjusted into the rockets system. the early struggles will wear off. also von is a bust player. he is at he's best when he plays in spurts. he is a one trick show pony. if he's shotaint falling, he is useless. ariza however can compensate that with he's defense if he's shot is'nt falling.

Please don't compare Wafer to Maxwell, or anyone to Maxwell for that fact. Maxwell was garbage, plain and simple.

Funny, seeing how with Olympiacos he makes more than Ariza or Artest got.
