This one looks pretty promising. Reminds me of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/06/30/must-watch-trailer-for-peter-billingsleys-couples-retreat/ <object width="598" height="356"><param name="movie" value="http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/flv-embed/flvplayer.swf"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"></param><param name="flashvars" value="width=598&height=356&file=http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/CouplesRetreat-trailer.flv&image=http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/CouplesRetreat-trailer.jpg&logo=http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/img/FSnet-Video-Logo.png&link=http://www.firstshowing.net&stretching=fill&quality=false&bufferlength=6&volume=90"></param> <embed src="http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/flv-embed/flvplayer.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="598" height="356" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="width=598&height=356&file=http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/CouplesRetreat-trailer.flv&image=http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/CouplesRetreat-trailer.jpg&logo=http://media2.firstshowing.net/firstshowing/img/FSnet-Video-Logo.png&link=http://www.firstshowing.net&stretching=fill&quality=false&bufferlength=6&volume=90" /> </object>
Just amazed at the versatility of Veronica Mars to play a disgruntled girlfriend who squeezes into a new sex position with another man in each film of hers.
I remember in the first trailer it looked like Favreau's character and his wife were having affairs before heading to the retreat. Recently I read that the studio went gutless and reshot some scenes because test audiences didn't like that they cheated on each other.
Vince vaughn is one of those actors that grew on me. I mean, I loved swingers, but I thought he was annoying. By 'old skool', I couldn't get enough of the guy. Now I have to watch any movie that he releases, even if it's a bad one like rotten tomatoes is claiming. =)
Saw it last night... Vince is his usual self...there are definitely some enjoyable, funny moments. On the whole, I think it was a little less than I expected. However, still a good flick to just relax and get some good laughs in. B-/C+
I went to see it last night as well. I laughed quite a bit throughout... I think I found more of it funny than my cousins. I would give it a B- or C+ as far as watch-ability.
