The Rockets will win a championship before the Kings! I am not saying we are better at the moment. But we will be.

Exactly the point I am trying to make.... I hope this guy pans out like talkin about, a great Ming also means a BOOMing Houston (city in whole) that would be nice. But dont put all your eggs in one basket. Let everyone see at least ONE game before you determine we are on the road to championship. As long as the Western Conference stays as strong as it is it will be hard for us. But if they do re-alignment like talkin bout in the next year and if for some odd reason we end up in the East with some of the other Jr. level talent teams (unlikely) I could see us pushing for the finals in 3 yrs. But if not, I say 5yrs. at the least. On another note I can really care less if we make it to the playoffs or not, just as long as we beat the JAZZ!

You are already saying that Ming is that much better than Divac?

Cuttino is better than chrissy offensively, but defensively chrissy is much better (cuttino=chrissy)

Nachbar=peja? What? Are you serious? Peja is an allstar and Nachbar has yet to play a game in the NBA

The Kings will win 60+ games next year. We will be lucky to win 50. They are a much better team than us right now. This shouldnt even be a comparison. In 3 years, then we could discuss who is better, but until we win 60 games, we gotta shut up.

After the draft, Las Vegas has us as 3 in the west to win a championship and like 5th overall. Only the lakers and Kings are predicted higher out West.

    Number 3?

    LA- 6/5
    Sac- 9/2
    Dal- 8/1
    SA- 10/1
    Min- 18/1
    Por- 18/1
    Uta- 30/1
    Sea- 50/1
    Pho- 60/1
    Hou- 60/1

And that's after the draft, before Houston got Ming they were 75/1.

Back to the Weight thing on Ming.

65%+of his weight is on his lower body, with very little on top and he is already 300 pounds that is what is impressive.
His head is pretty big though.

Shaq is 350 but his weight is all over. Shaq is still better than Ming, but there is not another center even close, to compare Ming to concerning weight.

Ming has a real Solid Base.

Ming probably has the 2nd best pound for pound lower base at the center position in the NBA already.
1st is Shaq and 3rd is maybe B.Wallace (and he is not really a center.)

I am not going to even include the old farts centers ,because this is more of a comparison for Ming in his 2nd season.

I think that Ming will do fine, the only time he will really be overpowered will be when he faces Shaq. I mean come on, Ming is 296 and Bradley is 265. Bradley gets overpowered by everybody, Ming will not because he has a pretty decent center of gravity. Shaq is not 365, I don't know who said that but he is 315. I think Ming will be just fine at his weight for now. The main reason people feel that he needs to bulk up is so that he can match up with Shaq pound for pound, a monumental task. Ming would probably be pretty dominant if he weighed around 320, but who knows if hes even capable of putting on that much extra weight on his upper body? We shouldnt be trying to compare Ming to Shaq, we may only dissapoint ourselves. As for the Sacramento vs. Houston comparisons, sure it may look even talentwise on paper, but who knows if Ming and Nachbar will even pan out? We should wait to make comparisons until we have seen our team play together for an entire month and have at least somewhat gelled.

Sigh...I wonder how much enthusiasm there'll be when the development phase won't pay off for another 2-3 years...

If someone tries to push Yao around, he can just turn around and give them a stinky face!:D

Arrghhh ... ... Enthusiasm is nice but sometime it just gets too much for me ... maybe you should save some if Ming takes a few years to develop ... on another note please let the season start so there will be other things to discuss then potential.
