Oh and I really want to see what he can do other than catch and shoot situations. Let's see him dribble a little bit

Lol as we can all tell, it's definitely gonna go in. His vertical + sweet stroke make that almost a guarantee. I want to see just what his potential is...

That play there demonstrates the difference between a slasher and shooter. He actually had an open middle of the lane to dribble drive into. A slasher like Von Wafer would have continued into the lane. Chase came off the screen with intent to shoot the jumper.

The good thing is he has confidence and ability in the jumper to make it. The other good thing is he has the athletic jumping ability to actually do something on the drive if he set his mind to it. Not that driving wildly into the lane would be any more efficient. It just helps in opening things up and being even harder to defend, and maybe drawing fouls. All that means is indeed Chase shows promise, that he has ability to turn a positive attribute into more positives.

Let's hope that as Chase grows he also slashes to the Lane when the open 15 footer is covered.

Didn't Chase shoot 70% in the SL? Were all those jumpers or did he slash at all?

There are practice videos somewhere where he often made backdoor cuts to the basket. As far as slashing it straight to the basket with the ball, that is something I haven't seen him do. Then again, that usually has not been required of him. I much rather have him shoot fairly guaranteed J's then have him try to slash to the basket and possibly get blocked by an opposing big.
