http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop...sketball-Player--Mediocre-Man-of-Letters.html Hit up the link so you can see where all this happened through the truehoop links. Ron hasn't played a game with them yet and already he's fighting.
I think we all have a little bit of Artest in each of us. The numbers of times I've wanted to say that and instead given the polite answer instead are too many to count.
Artest's reaction was the right one. Who does this Slavin guy think he is telling Artest that he "laid down the law" in his BLOG POST. Get over yourself, dude. You wrote a BLOG POST about how you want Artest to behave so that the Lakers win....if every single writer in out there emailed the athletes that they wrote articles about, these guys would have no time to practice. I'm glad Artest "laid down the law" on this clown. He deserves it.
Delusions of grandeur. I'm pretty certain that Phil et al are not making game decisions or roster moves due to the vagaries of Lakers underground or whatever.
Ron better be careful. The guy has a blog. The law's been laid and if Ron's not careful he could be utterly ruined. I mean, the guy has a blog. Watch out now.
This blogger is a douche. He's also right to be concerned. Kobe + Ron = awesomeness for the every non-Laker fan. Kobe isn't a leader and Phil Jackson, in his prime coaching days, was an overrated one. Now, he is just a jaded, smart-mouthed old man looking to keep cashing checks based on the performance of a team so loaded with talent it can't help but contend. Once things get rough again he'll retire for good. There is no one there to keep Ron in check. The Rockets did it with some success by having a locker room filled with guys who had no ego, worked harder than any team in the league and stayed out of trouble off the court. Simply put, Ron had nothing in the Rockets organization to set him off but he did have plenty of people willing to show him that they would work just as hard as he does to win games. I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens the first time Ron shoots the Lakers out of a game while waiving Kobe off the ball. I fully expect these two to start dueling for shots to the point that the other three guys on the court just stand their and watch each guy taking turns going 1 on 5.
"We the Laker Fans can ruin you" I'm siding with Ron-Ron on this one. Laker Fans are the worst kind of douchebag.
LOL - he was basically telling Ron not to screw it up, and Ron goes...Ron ron on him. And the foundations begin to crumble in LA. Ron should be nicknamed San Andreas, because he is going to quake all over that team. DD
I take Ron's side on this. A comparative example, if a clutchfans member in a blog, tweet or chat tells Tracy McGrady "We can ruin you", and McGrady responded back "Suck __ __", I'm siding with McGrady or any player. The player wouldnt be proper, but not completely inappropriate.
Screw Lakers fans. "If you don't play well, we won't like you and will ruin you?" They can suck mine as well
DD's strong desire to see the Lakers fail is a facade to what the Lakers can and will do this season.
