I watched the game between China and Italy yesterday. It seemed that the Chinese players were very tired, especially in the second half(3rd & 4th Qtrs). I guess maybe they have had some exhaustic training in the previous weeks. Well, the Italians were well organised and they shot better than their Chinese counterpart. They were more energetic. They played four quarters(10m per qtr), Yao Ming made game-high 26 points, shooting 10-13 from field, 6-9 from the line. Perhaps as he's been injured several days before in a training session, he only grabed 4 or 5 rebounds, but he stilled got 2 AS, 3 Blocks. No too bad, especially while he's double teamed and got less support from his fellows.

That's reasonable. If the opposing team hits 13 or 14 three-pointers then they probably attempted over 20 shots from the arc(maybe over 30). Long shots results in long rebounds, so there wasn't much chance for a guy who pays down low to grab the ball from misses.

Sorry, I'm from NYC and therefore have no idea who Jody Valade is. You sound like a Dallas fan. I do wish Wang a successful career in the NBA as it occurs to me that nobody in the US is aware of what he can do as a basketball player.
