O.k. we all know that the bbs gods around here are popeye and Doc Rocket! (what would we do without you guys) So as I was reading one of DR's last post It became very clear to me that the most likely position the rockets are looking to fill THIS OFFSEASON, is SF. that is not to say we won't draft a Pf or trade for a pf this offseason....I am simply saying that I think SF will be the position that is filled this offseason with a player the rockets consider to be, THEIR FUTURE SF!!! meaning the sf we get this offseason is the one that will be there for years to come......pf on the other hand may be upgraded this year but it will not be by someone the rockets consider the pf for their future. It seems to me this is the case because DR has mentioned the rockets have serious interest in Webber next year.....granted his future won't be THAT long because he is not REAL young but he will be there when francis, mobley, and shandon are peaking.......the other thing that might happen if given the oppurtunity this offseason is trading or drafting a C for the future.....as I am convinced you don't need an olajuwan (although that would be great!!) to win in the NBA anymore.....all you need is a Dominant defensive center...with good shot blocking ability and a serviceable offensive game. ------------------
I get the thinking here. Is there some prior knowledge that Webber wants to come to Houston? How about Rashard Lewis and the high school kid guard Stevenson (at #9).
