Wait, shouldn't it say that he can't play until Fall 2010?

Pretty disappointed in his routine. He is training Yao with what I call a manikin workout.

    Yao looks very strong.

One thing about this guy... You can't say he doesn't pay his dues.

It sure reminds me of how TALL Yao is.

He has to adjust everything he does because of his height.

You see him having to sit on the floor to do lat pulls?

    Crazy.

lol @ the video sucking on yao's dong. he's pushing small weights and they're saying this would be hard for most people.

the upside, i guess, is that he's doing it 5 times a week. still good to see him putting in the time.

I think the trainer is doing lighter weights for more reps so he can lose weight since he cant Run.. I dont think Yao wants to put on weight with his foot problems

If that's a light workout, then my workouts are featherweight

im not judging yao, it looks like a light workout, but it still looks like he is working hard. I just wish ppl would apply this to t-mac too, but any vid of him working out, and ppl want to start questioning his motivation.

For a guy his size 300+ pounds, he uses very light weights. I didn't see any of his dumbell lifts where he was using more than 70 pounds.

I think any working out with that hard cast up to the knee is a good workout

If I remember correctly... It was instructed to him not to lift heavy weights because of his shoulder and trainers didn't want Yao to have a lot of muscle on him because of his body frame. They basically didn't want extra weight on him because of injury.

i dont think there is any motivation for yao to lift more weights. If anything he should be looking at ways to lessen the stress on his foot, and adding weight is not the way to go.

it depends on how long yao is doing the sets for. if you are doing a set for a couple minutes at a time rather than just a few reps then you are going to be doing a solid workout. you don't need to use a crap load of weight to get a good workout in.

Looks like their using less weight in an attempt to lighten the load of his foot.

Using small weight and alot of reps will get you defined.

And for the record, I'm not referring to the amount of weight. My clients know that when I walk into the basketball court with nothing but a Bosu to expect a good workout.

Ok. But are you a multiple all-star center that takes a severe beating in the post (no calls) every game? No? Hmmm....
