Dalembert for McGrady, then trade Yao for a superstar in 2010. Then at least we wont completely suck turds at the center spot this year.
I do feel this is the year Tracy will be traded before the deadline. I think there is 3 or 4 teams right now who hold interest however, it all depends maybe he plays a season and comes back around then we can do a sign and trade, but it all depends on him. Quite frankly he is 30 years old and has alot of miles don't think Rockets will resign him to a max contract, but package him up for some bigs before the deadline atleast. I'm just saying there is more reasons this year then in previous years he could be traded. Players coming along, his expiring, No presence in the paint is 3 off the top of my head.
No thanks. There is no need to panic and make a dumb move that may generate a win or two at the cost of later flexibility.
I'd rather have Brad Miller And Loul Deng for mcgrady than get Dalembert... But I would rather have them keep mcgrady let him play out his contract then try to sign Joe Johnson (I think he might have signed an extention though) to replace mcgrady
I mentioned in another thread that the 2 & 5 spots will be a committee play. Now that I think about it; due to injuries, the whole team is a committee play.
Once you had Yao, no one else can be called 'true center'... I think the rockets probably will make a trade for a decent center during the season if Anderson cannot provide what Adelman wants.
But DD that is Yao Ming!!! Remember it was JVG who caused Yao to change from an all over the court shooter to become an under the basket center. Possibly Yao could return once again and become his natural self! After all he will need to reduce the intensity of his role, once he comes back!
Ok, who exactly is going to be abusing our undersized centers? Which of the "BEASTS" are now in the middle? I can't think of very many low post threats that are centers anymore..... Shaq - but he is declining fast. Dwight - No low post game really. Whom, which center is going to destroy our 6'9" or 6' 10" players? I don't think it will be all that big of a deal, our guards and SFs are friggen 6'8" ...... I think we will be fine. I expect Scola to average 11+ rpg. DD
They are going to get abused on the boards, in alot of games, this season. I see it happening already. You cannot expect guys 6'8 and below to keep 7 footers off the glass for 82 games. The lack of size is also going to put more pressure on the perimeter players.....can't hold of penetration every single play. Players in the West who will have a field day with this line-up: Jefferson Gasol Oden Duncan Amare' possibly Okafur This line-up has the potential to go horribly wrong.
