Bad matchup for him. Too much size and experience. He has the physical tools. Should have kept up with the leg kicks on Big Country all day.
I didn't even watch the fight and knew from all of the hype Kimbo was gonna lose. Not shocking at all, and this is the WORST group of UFC wanna be's I've seen on this series so far. Still, Kimbo will fight in the UFC for the ratings and Dana's ego/paycheck. I'm growing tired of it already.
i dont know what to think. pretty terrible fight from both fighters. what was nelson doing acting all cocky and such after the fight, yea you won..but its not like you pounded the dude, at least white called him out on that a bit
It looked like there was a complete lack of effort from Kimbo once he was taken down, but the fight should have kept going. Yeah, he wasn't defending himself, really... but it wasn't like there was a big risk of injury with those love taps.
The fight was disappointing but its not like Kimbo got whooped. Roy Nelson is just fat as hell and laid on top of him and tapped him on the head a few times.
Good luck to anyone who gets caught in a crucifix by a guy weighing 265lb. I don't care how big and strong you are that's a really bad place to be. I like that Kimbo used his legs/knees a little. He's expanding his game. He still needs tons of work on his ground game and at 35 time isn't on his side.
Like Roy Nelson said in the beginning of the show, it doesn't matter what you're doing to the other person, the rules state that you have to intelligently defend yourself or they stop the fight. Nelson could have humped Kimbo and if he didn't try to defend himself they would have stopped it. Try getting hit on the top of the head by a pro fighter. Those shots hurt more than many of you think. Nelson just completely destroyed him on the ground. He effortlessly passed Kimbo's "guard" and mounted him like he would his wife. That crucifix position is almost impossible to get out of when the guy on top is raining down shots like those. Plus, this fight was free. I'll take it.
LMAO at Kimbo. All those muscles are wasted. He should just get big and fat and next time all he needs to do is lay on top of another guy and he'll win. The guy have no idea how to fight on the ground.

Sir I give you a delicious crow to eat. I stand firm on my words, Kimbo is a street fighter who belongs in the audience at a UFC fight. The clown has zero in cage talent, and even less strategy. His punches come slow, his defenses come never and only thing he has is intimidating size...and that really hasnt helped Bob Sapp much.
sadly, i think roy nelson would be a far worse fighter if he shed 30 lbs of that fat belly. he knows his strengths and it is using that tub of lard around his waist to hold you down.
