Would you try to stuff the ball back or level a no-layups hard foul in the face of the President of the United States? Especially with some Secret Service agents with hair triggers hanging around just out of frame.
Just to note also that GW Bush was a pretty physically fit President too who might not be able to sky over Obama could probably outrun him in a 10 or even 5K.

See the original post... I can't believe I have to explain this elementary and universal concept on a basketball board...running is not cool, hoops is cool. Only odd people, dullards, or folks trying to hide from the grim reaper run. Cool people play basketball because it is the greatest athletic avenue for individual expression within a team game. No runner's high can match the joy of playing ball well. Then there is the presidential corollary: if you're the President, having your schedule set so you can always get your daily workout in is not cool, catching a pickup game of hoops when your schedule allows is extremely cool.
Dude is almost 50 and still has some elevation to his game. It's acceptable to break out a can of whoop ass on pasty-faced interns just out of college who happen to be 20-25 years younger.

While it may be cool that he loves basketball and isn't afraid to still play, he has no elevation. I wish I could get a game of 21 with him. I think I could take him.
