November 22 must be the next big payment from Tmac's insurance.

I don't know why Leebigez thinks we have any interest in keeping McGrady after this season. Hell, Mac sells a few jerseys to kids who don't know any better---"I love Tmac, I love Tmac"---but TMac's expiring contract has far more value to us than yet another year of:

    "Ouch, my, uh, knee".

    "That's your elbow."

    "My elbow, then."

Package Tmac with a lesser contract or two and you just might raise this franchise out of the muck.

UNLESS some combo of Shane and/or Landry and/or Brooks and/or Budinger (you get the idea) can land us the player/s we need to actually round out the roster.

Insurance will pay part of his salary, but we will have to take back nearly 23M in a trade. We will probably get stuck with guys who have long contracts like Maggette who plays on only one part of the floor,or S.Jackson, who in my opinion is slightly better than Ron,but he won't be happy on a rebuilding team.

If he has no trade value we arent giving him away for nothing. I agree he should stay if thats the case. Some team could get cap space and a real good player so they would be kinda dumb to hold onto star players on losing teams if they could get cap relief and a comparable player but they trying to hope we are desperate and give away our players for scrubs. Morey is smart and he wont. I think watching the Rockets lose will be fun as long as they do so with alot heart and hustle. They might surprise us.

I can see T-Mac joining a contender like Spurs, Lakers or Celtics for less money. I don't see him joining a non-contender for more money. Unless he never wants playoff success and is content with mediocre, if that, success.

He has trade value as an expiring contract, as the season goes on, and there are teams in dire financial straights he will become more valuable as a way for some teams to get out from under long term deals.

He also gains value if he can come in and prove he is relatively healthy.

I trust Morey.....to make the right call.

I'm not sure if everyone is fully aware how many teams are doing really really bad right now financially.

T-Mac's contract will be very very important to a lot of teams.

Wait til December to mid-January, teams start falling out the playoff race and not selling tickets.

A team like the Kings would be someone the Rockets should target. They are almost being forced out of Sac.

I trust that Morey will decide what's right for this team.

The Rockets will have money next Summer but it won't be as much as some folks are lead to believe...

Haven't you been saying all this time that he was going to be there on day 1?
