After trying Five Guys for the first time, I'd rather have a Big Mac

Dives are usually where the best burgers are at. My grandpa used to take me and my brother to Bubba's. He loved that place.

I tried Little Bigs when I first heard about it here a few months back and I thought it sucks, burgers were dry, I can make way better sliders, I even went a second time to give it another chance and it still sucked, even their white russian shake isn't great either

Now SmashBurger is freaking great, their mushroom swiss burger is the best and their smash fries (fries with olive oil/parsley) are the best fries I ever had

There is place near my work called Texas Hamburger Palace off of Ranchester/Harwin, very good stuff, their bacon is freshly made, and their California burger is the best (bacon cheeseburger with gucamole)

Agree. I have one walking distance from my place and I never go there. I think for people in Houston its kinda like chick filet being closed on sundays, you want it on sundays. People in Texas love in and out so much simply because its like a novelty and they don't have any there. People want what they don't have.

They do. But some consider it South Oklahoma. ;)

I've seen several up here actually.

And to the Culver's mention... they're pretty a'ight. They're kinda like Steak and Shake deluxe... a bit better quantity of meat.

And 5 Guys is just like "Moo-Yah!" here. Which are both lame attempts at cloning IN-N-OUT.

There's a good hole in the wall in Wylie called Meteor Burgers.

I live in Cali, and In-N-Out just gets better and better each time I go... Simply blissful... Best everything imo...

I'd take Pappas over Becks, but Pappas is very expensive. Great tasting though. A lot of people like Beck's where I work including my boss. I'm not that big on them. As usual with all Pappas restaurants their seasoning is great.

I post this all the time in these burger threads, Chilli's has great burgers, and they are fairly cheap for an expensive chain restaurant. Red Robin also has great burgers.

I used to be a Beck's guy - but the last 2 burgers i've gotten have been super greasy. I've decided never to go back. Now that I've discovered the greatness of Five Guys (the OP is crazy!) - I have no reason to ever go back.

Five Guys is the best fast food burger i've ever had. hands down.

and count me in the camp who thinks in-n-out is beyond overrated. crappy burgers and disgusting, cardboard-like fries. count me out.

on the other hand I am a huge fan of carl's jr. haven't been there in about a year though.

I'll add that I had a ranch house burger at Cheesecake factory that was insanely good, also. Took me three sittings to eat the whole meal.

Wow, I totally disagree with you on everything.

Five Guys is mediocre, so is Carl's Jr.

In-n-out is the best fast food burger ever, period.

Ive never had a burger from Chili's . However, I loved the Big Mouth burger from Bennigans taste great and it was big.

Biggest burger you can get in Houston would be from Fudruckers , downside that they dont just superb. The meat is kind of bland but I try cover it up with condiments.

I hated In-N-Out burger. Sloppy sauce all over the burger to the point it's dripping. Price is cheap, and I admit, I've only been there once.

Fudruckers are awesome. I love their burgers, especially the 1 pound burger.

Also... Salt Grass SteakHouse have some good burgers. Bunch of fries as well.

    Cliff's is alright to me.

I forgot to mention a place called Ranch Burger off of 290 and Fairbanks in the Kroger shopping center. I went there once and loved it, but for some reason never went back. I'd say it's worth trying if you're in the area and want something different.

One of the best burgers in town, in my opinion. I usually go with the bacon burger with barbeque sauce, grilled onions, and mushrooms with a side of cajun fries.

Have been meaning to try FGB&F for a while, but was worried the hype might hinder my review. Now I'm almost sure of it. Also wanna try mighty fine.

Pappa's Burger = Great but too expensive.

Bubba's makes an AWESOME buffalo burger, been going there for years. It is a dive... if it even qualifies as that.

Fudd''s, Chili's... sure... really good but not sure about great.

Red Robin, not bad, but again, not sure about great.

Lankford (sp?) Grocery is quite awesome though, and so is Christian's Totem.
