    McGrady's career averages vs. Artest

    40.3 minutes
    24.9 points
    6.8 assists
    3.3 turnovers
    41.8 FG%
    35.6 3P%
    70.7 FT%
    .458 eFG%
    .502 TS%

    McGrady's career averages vs. Battier

    38.2 minutes
    26.3 points
    6.2 assists
    3.3 turnovers
    46.4 FG%
    33.9 3P%
    81.0 FT%
    .511 eFG%
    .567 TS%

Btw, McGrady's career eFG% is .471, and his career TS% is .521. So Artest has held him below those numbers, while Battier has done quite the opposite.

The Lakers are the defending champions and Kobe is the MVP.
    they deserve the respect.

Just like when the Rockets won the title and Hakeem was the MVP,
    we deserved that respect.

But you were supposed to "pretend" that Tracy jumped into a phone booth and transformed into a super hero, grew a pair and instantly had heart.

Yea Tmac will never equal to Kobe but he is the closest we got. Tmac is not Kobe but he is our Kobe.

Pretending T-Mac will be as good as Kobe this year is ridiculous. While we're at it, why not pretend Scola's as good as Garnett and David Anderson is as good as Yao? I haven't decided who I'd like to pretend our point guard is as good as yet. ;)
However, I do agree with you that the Rockets will be much better than people expect. Low expectations are a blessing, though. The pressure's off, and it's way more fun to root for an overachiever and see how impressed everyone is with how good they are.

haha. you are completely confused and attacked with a wrong direction.

anyway, if you are a rockets' fan, at least be a smart one. facing the reality doesn't make you less of a rockets' fan. don't just blindly support

I'd like to pretend that it is not possible to pretend, but only contend.

You fail. T-Mac is not even close to Kobe, he's not even the Kobe on the Rockets, he's like Vince Carter, Heartless Loser.

McGrady is going to abuse Ron Artest. He won't have the same speed to cover him if McGrady is healthy.

Didn't thing this deserved a thread. For all you Esquire readers:

Esquire took a (slightly) humorous dig at Tracy McGrady on their online feature "Fourteen (and a Half) Easy Ways to Feel Better Right Now" The Link Here

Here's the Tmac related piece (slide 15):

    tmac isn't finished.

so many of the naysayers on this board will be too stubborn to admit we need tmac when he starts carrying our team again.

i can't wait to see what he can do!

if RA & DM are excited to have tracy back, then some of you should think about that. the guy is an amazing player!

let's all get on the tmac bandwagon! he's all we got people! dwade ain't coming through that door!

    GO ROCKETS! and TMAC!

Of course, none of this stuff is relevant because Artest isn't nearly the same defender he used to be, and T-Mac never faced Battier on the Houston defense.

Anyway, there's no way T-Mac goes off on the Lakers. Not because of Artest, but because there's no way he can overcome the double teams(no Yao) and Lakers length in the paint.
