Bryant also edged out Duncan for NBA athlete of the decade. The honors are part of a 14-page tribute to the players, coaches and teams of the 2000s in the new issue of the magazine, which will hit newsstands today. Well.. this was a no brainer... LA a runner up. But LA had two different teams... Spurs are still alive this season.
Not sure if I agree with the Game of the Decade. The Derek Fisher Miracle Shot game was pretty intense and had some back-and-forth dynamic shots in the waning seconds. I know the Celtics had a magnificent comeback that game, and I can see why it was chosen, but the Fisher shot turned the whole series in LA's favor and will be one fans remember for a looooooooong time.
I agree with the Spurs. But they allowed another team in their conference to establish a dynasty within their own "dynasty". Kind of odd.
why the architects for building the NBA team of the decade, Spurs, not the executives of the decade ? someone pls explain why the builder of 1 championship team won the accolade over the builders of 3 championship teams during the decade
I can agree with just about everything but Game of the Decade!! Certainly the Derek Fisher 0.4 second shot was the best meaningful gametime moment!
