He'll be a better runner than Dream. Thats for sure. Dream must have been the slowest runner I've ever seen.
Nobody is perfect, everyone (well, with maybe a couple of exceptions) has their downside. Nobody is expected to come into the NBA with ALL of the talent you could ever want or have. You can't look at him that way, you have to say.....he has all of this talent, and all of this upside, but along with that he has these faults of his game and we're going to work on making him better. You can't expect him to come in right away and dominate with his game, it will take time to correct his faults, just like any other player. Even if he was a slow runner (I didn't see this), or got tired quickly, these are things that can be corrected....over time. Pugs
I think the excitement over Ming and Nachbar is great. However, don't forget we have a 19 year old power forward that would have been considered for the first pick this year and Steve who was a first pick. This team stays together for 3-4 years and we have a 6 ring dynasty going. The Rockets' brass have amassed an amazing amount of young talent in a very short period of time.
Hakeem was not slow, no way, he would always beat the other center down court. He just looked slower because he would spend an extra 4 seconds arguing about the call he didn't get or trying to steal the inbounds pass.
I am 6' tall so a lowered my goal to 8 feet and played a little one on one with my ten year old 58" tall son. I think I now have perspective! BTW, I dominated him!
You obviously never saw Dream during his first 10 years. He is easily the fastest and quickest running big man to EVER play the game. No one got up and down the court faster than Dream and that includes guards.

That's just wrong! Anyway, we tried that before as well to see what it's like to be so tall. If only I was tall... But with his basketball IQ and his height, he should be able to really use that to his advantage once he gets accustomed to the NBA speed.
