So they named Bon Jovi as 2010 halftime show and after Bruce tore up the stage last year, Bon Jovi can't be anything but a disappointment in my opinion. Part of the problem is Bon Jovi doesn't have the song catalog to make the halftime show exciting.

In my opinion, there is only a handful of artist that can follow Bruce. So with that, if I were choosing a band this year it'd be Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. I saw her in concert about a 1 year ago, and she tore up the stage, her songs are catchy as hell and she is just itching for an opportunity.

    Bruce was terrible.

    Corniest halftime show ever.

Well, one things sure Bon Jovi will be worse. Anyway, you might be in the minority on this one moe. If Bon Jovi does Runaway, that might save him, or never say goodbye might be good.

    Another Joan Jett!

Well, the majority of football fans won't be music aficionados, and I can guarantee more people have heard of Bon Jovi than Joan Jett.

More people will stay tuned to the halftime show to watch someone they have heard of like Bon Jovi than for a lesser name, regardless of actual performance quality.

I think that the Flaming Lips should play the Halftime show, and everyone should get really stoned before hand.

I wonder how much Joan Jett got for letting Faith Hill use her song and change the lyrics for Sunday Night Footbaw on NBC?

WTF no AC/DC? They're like never on tour and they've been on tour the last two SBs and they don't do the halftime show? They're like the ultimate Super Bowl halftime show band. Someone's asleep here. Heads should roll.

BTW, I'm not a Bon Jovi fan, but I think he has enough songs for a halftime show that people will mostly enjoy.

I expect we'll hear Livin' on a Prayer, It's My Life, Wanted Dead Or Alive, You Give Love a Bad Name, and Bad Medicine. Possibly that song from his "country" album as well. Out of these choices seems most likely.

    AC/DC definitely makes sense.

I thought Bruce did as well as anyone could, but the superbowl just makes everyone look bad.

It's almost like trying to perform on one of those floats in the rose bowl parade, it just doesn't work very well.

Prince was the pinnacle. The Boss, Bon Jovi, its all heading in the wrong direction lately. They keep picking bands moms want to see.

Ac/Dc would be real good, also if they could get the original Guns N' Roses back together, damn that would be a halftime show to remember.

Hell, I'd take Susan Boyle over Bon Jovi, lol!

Bon Jovi really only has 1 nostaligic song that I'd like to hear, Runnaway and they probably won't even play it.

    Is that true?

Btw, GnR isn't family friendly. It would never happen.

Zeppelin basically broke up after John Bonham died, though they have performed only a handful of times with his son Jason on the drums. The last (and as far as I know, only) time they've performed as Led Zeppelin and billed it as a reunion of any sort was in 2007 for only one concert in London at the O2 arena.

So it's not really a question of them squabbling.

Actually it is, because Page wants to tour again after the successful O2 reunion show, but Plant wants to keep hanging out with Allison Krauss instead. Last I heard, Page basically said that they'll find another singer and tour and record (WTF?!)

It can't be Zeppelin without Plant. :(
