Just bought a PS3 slim

    I can't believe the quality difference between this thing and my X-Box -- unreal. I got the system and two used games for $350 out the door.

    What are some of the better (must have) older games to pick up for this thing cheap (greatest hits) or used.

    I hope you're not saying the quality is better on the PS3 than the XBox 360 (unless you meant the first Xbox).

    I got one myself back on release date and also picked up MGS4, Uncharted, and Resistance: Fall of Man. All 3 are great games.

    I also have a 360 and it will continue to be my first choice for multi-platform games since Live is better than PS Network.

    But PS3 exclusives are pretty sweet and have killer graphics that the 360 just can't touch.

    What kind of games do you like? MGS4, SF4, COD4, Little Big Planet, just trying to hit on some different genres there. Agree with Madden 10 too.

    Uncharted and Metal Gear Solid 4 and Little Big Planet are the biggest exclusives. Assuming youre already familiar with the big names that are on xbox as well (Cod, GTA4).

    Coming up is the HD versions of God of war 1+2 if you like that sort of game, Demon's Souls which is getting lots of acclaim, and Uncharted 2.

    That's exactly what I meant - the 360 is a rattle trap piece of crap compared to the PS3 slim.

    I grabbed resistance and gt prologue -- everyone is high on uncharted so I may check that out. At some point i'll definitely get MGS4.

    great games. Ratchet And Clank: TOD should be added to that list. Not Greatest Hits yet, but Killzone 2 and infamous are good games. Check out PSN too. Pixel Junk Monsters is an awesome castle defense game for cheap.

    1) Get PlayOn ($$) and PS3mediaserver (free)
    2) Watch Hulu, Netflix, local files, and loads of internet stuff on your HDTV
    3) ????
    4) Profit

    If you want to go the game route, I highly recommend Uncharted.

    Pick up Killzone 2. Some of the best graphics for an FPS.

    MGS4 is a must have. Gran Turismo 5 and God of War 3 are too once they get released.

    correct. but who cares about ps2 games anyway, it's time for people to come to 2009.

    and im an xbox owner, but the ps3 is def by far the better gaming console, its just not worth the extra price to some.

    ONLY GET MGS4 if you're familiar with the other MGS games.

    Resident Evil 5, MLB 09 the show if youre into baseball, madden 10 is decent, batman is awesome. Fight Night is amazing.

    there are classic ps1 and ps2 games like twisted metal, 2, black, nba live 2002 on ps1 (best bball game ever), Resident evil 1-3.....

    it's not all about graphics...
