Underwhelming burger. Thought it was going to be all that reading the hype from CF and other places on the net. Turned out to be a bust. Had the regular hamburger(double patty). In-N-Out is still the king of burgers. I would almost rather have a Big Mac than another Five Guys burger.

Personally, I'd rather eat McDonalds than try five guys at the same time, too.

Wow. I love 5 guys. You can just tell the quality of the meat is just MUCH better than those pattys at McD's.

Agreed. The more I eat In-N-Out, the more I love it.

I get it with Mustard though, not a Thousand Island fan...

Come on now. Five guys have a better burger then McDonald's, it's just the price that gets me over there. A burger/fries/drink combo comes out to almost 10 bucks.

You put it all in the same hole I assume.

Or did you try the south park backwards way too?

I tried it for the first time the other day and I was not impressed either. I was surprised that I paid so much for something that wasn't very good. If I'm going to pay that much for a burger it better be at least 1/2 pound and cooked medium or medium rare. If they can't cook it the way that I want it then it's not that quality of meat.

My brother and I ate there and he had never heard of it, so when I told him that I wanted to try "Five Guys" burgers, the first thing he said was "that sounds kind of gay" :)

its not bad, when I first ate it, it didn't overwhelm me, but after a few weeks, I had the craving for it again and drove out out all the way in Rosenberg to eat there, and now there is a closer one near First Colony and ate there last week, its a great burger after a few times of trying it.

I was the same with In/Out burger when I ate it in Vegas last year, didn't think it was the greatest, but had a craving for it a week or 2 later.

I'd have to agree with the OP. Five Guys is way overhyped and it just doesn't taste as good. I've only tried In-N-Out once in my life but I must say it was one of the best fast food burgers I had eaten in my life.

While I find it admirable that you guys are able to admit to your urges and desires, you should remember that indulging in these urges in such an indiscriminate manner (5 guys?) could lead to health complications.

Anybody tried Little Bigs here in Houston? I did, and was underwhelmed on all fronts...although I didn't try a shake.
