1) scale of economy 2) tecnological advances 3) highly fluctuating oil prices Will both address this issue. Govt commitment will create economy of scale.
You do realize you just confirmed my suspicions very loudly. I asked what the harm would be in America becoming more energy efficient and humankind developing more sustainable energy sources, and you only replied that oil is currently cheaper. So there is no harm, or you offered none in answer to my question, and yes, you only defend your position with a very narrow window of time and the profit margin possible within that time. Weak sauce, texxx.
Whiff. Beebster, is financial harm not harm to you? Many Americans are suffering during this period of economic downturn. Increased costs to them in exchange for fighting "climate change" would represent clear and present harm, friend.
Okay, that's an answer at least. Thank you. But it is all about the now. I suppose you could try to argue that if we don't use up our resources right now that it harms future prosperity, but that argument would take on Beckian dimensions (and maybe dementia). And for those watching at home, keep in mind this whole question about ignoring the actual impact on the planet was based on the (somewhat absurd) assumption that 99% of climate scientists are wrong and the data is somehow incredibly deceiving and coincidence-ridden.
