As talented as he is, I guarantee you he's gonna cost us a game this year in some form or fashion.
I'd almost rather stick David Anderson back there on returns to make sure we retain the ball at the very least.

He was drafted out of Lane College, he obviously was not gonna adjust to the NFL quickly

Problem with JJ is he will make an all world catch on one play and drop a wide open catch the next. When he starts making the easy play and not putting the ball on the floor he can be what Eddie Royal was to the Broncos last year.

David Anderson is no sure bet. He had a very costly fumble a couple of years ago versus the Titans.

Anderson has better hands but Kubiak keeps giving JJ a chance because he has gamebreaking ability on punt returns. He sucks on kickoff returns though.

He always seems to be trying to hard. Last year with never calling fair catches even with a guy in his face, bringing kickoffs out of the endzone, 30 stutter moves when hes squared up with a would-be tackler.

All that wouldnt matter if he didnt bobble punts. Does anyone remember which game(s) he bobbled last year? If I remember correctly they were game-changers too.

I believe the proper name is Tiny Lane College.

Speaking of the '07 draft. Texans could have had Patrick Willis, Darrell Revis or Jon Beason at #10. We took Amobi Okoye, instead. Hope he steps it up this year.

    No kidding.

Willis was such a lock to be a stud, almost a shame we already had Demeco.

Could you imagine a 4-3 with Ryans, Cushing and Willis? Wow.

Jacoby has always been a very frustrating player to watch.

    Still is.

Lots of talent, but makes bone-headed mistakes.

Maybe he is Hot Hands from the "Little Giants" all grown up that only catches the ball when he imagines it as toilet paper

He does have gamechanging ability on punt returns. On kick returns, not so much.
I like him and have been in favor of giving him more chances. I'm scared of cutting him and lettin him end up as a TO type in a few years on someone else's roster, but the guy has to hold onto the ball. You can tell he's fighting it when they throw him the ball. Even the wide open ball that he caught against the titans was bobbled and cradled in carefully.

I wonder if Moats could return kicks. He has done pretty good as a running back but can't crack the rotation. He ran well in the preseason. Anyone know if he has returned kicks before?

I looked it up. Moats has returned kickoffs in the past for 21.6 yard average with no fumbles. JJ has a 21.9 yard average and hasn't fumbled a kickoff return but has fumbled 5 punt returns and 6 overall. Moats has 3 fumbles in his career. Seems like Moats would be a safer bet to hold on to the ball but JJ is a bigger threat to break one.

Jacoby is the Von Wafer of the NFL.

    Same hair too.
