yep. Brown almost lost me my matchup in week 1 except AD and Brady saved me. This week, Brady was crap and i needed 15 pts going into the Monday night game to get the win. Thank god Brown delivered.
I just found out they scheduled me to work sunday! The one day of the week I request off. Going to try my best to get out of that shift! Ugh!
I'd say it was more Slaton than the scheme. Zone blocking is still a mystery to me, but as I understand it, its supposed to create specific holes so that the runner makes 1 cut and goes. Slaton had a huge ypc last year, but a lot of that came after contact and he was pushing the piles forward.
unlucky you.... I fractured my foot and got lucky by missing my units 2 week field op in Virginia They are going to be miserable while I get to see my games this weekend
Sorry for your ankle, but lucky you with watching the games. Not so sure if I'm envious....I like my ankles lol. I'm trying to get off, but they are freaking out because the company's President and CEO are coming next week to our store. So they have like 20 employees there on Sunday for 8hrs lol. I'm really wanting to get out of it.
We can't take the team lightly, they are known for Jones-Drew's play making ability but this team only lost to Indy by a few points, Garrad's issues these last season stemmed from missing his favorite receiver and a crappy offensive line. If we don't take them seriously, much like how we were blown out early in the Jets game, we may find ourselves losing the game underestimating them. Heck that is how we lost the first Jaguars game last season.
Awesome highlights from last week. (All Texans Highlights). http://www.nfl.com/videos/houston-texans/09000d5d812dc48e/NFL-Weekly-Countdown-6-Houston-We-Have-TDs
Another good video breaking down our big plays of the day with Andre last week. http://www.nfl.com/videos/houston-texans/09000d5d812d6e79/WK-2-Playbook-Texans-offense-explodes
I agree that we can't take them lightly, but this is a game we should win. The jags staying competitive vs the colts says more about indy than jax in my opinion. Given our offense, we should put up big numbers. The team knows this is an important game and I think will respond. The encouraging thing is that they recognize they didn't play their best game in tenn. Hopefully Slaton finally has a big day. Either way I would expect Matt to be in the 90+ passer rating neighborhood. It could go a lot of different ways, but I expect a good showing from the Texans. I'm looking forward to it. If we can get some momentum going it will help with this stretch of seemingly winnable games. My biggest concern is that the D can finally stop making the mandatory 2 huge mistakes and can play like they do for 75% of the last two games. I look forward to more excellent play from the LBs and wouldn't be surprised by an outstanding effort from Mario.
Pretty sure MJD will have a field day, but Jags have no pass rush or secondary, and luckily for us, Texans can at least pass very well.
Lucky, I was contemplating it when I saw some tickets for sale in the classified section. But damnit....they scheduled me to work.
Headed to the game. After the Coogs win last night, a Texans victory would make this a hell of a weekend.
