[CHRON] Rockets Sign Rashad McCants

If the rumors about TMAC are true, and thats a huge if, but if they are true and Brooks takes the next step along with Scola being the top 10 PF everyone thinks he can become, or may already be, we will be freaking dangerous. At the very least we have accumlated so many assets with exteremly attractive contracts that a mega trade is looking more and more likely.

 

I don't know why, but there was always something that I liked about McCants.
I hope this isn't another Gerald Green / James White pickup.

 

So now were back to 19 players on some form of contracts with this trade right? After the White trade.

 

I like it. I wonder how much money he has on the contract?

 

I like this signing...he has pretty good chance of making the team and has been a proven instant offense scorer off the bench, albeit on some bad teams. But his defense is definitely questionable.

 

Was there always something you liked about those players as well?

 

Training camp is going to be good with all these players pushing each other...even the older guys like Shane and TMac will need be pushed to keep up.

This is a survival of the fittest training camp...I like what Morey and Adelman are doing.

Quick question. I just checked the roster of the Rockets on the official website and it says Garrett Temple is on the roster. Did we sign him?

 

Wolves fans have a lot of negative things to say about McCants, but since its a non-guarantee deal, you can't really go wrong.

 

Funny, I thought that was Ron Artest, the guy thinks his MJ .....

 

Looks like a ball stopper to me. He's got the athleticism we need.

 

Draftexpress says he looks for his offense too much, is turnover prone, and doesnt play D. Sounds exactly like Von Wafer and thats why i love this signing. He actually reminds me of a guard we already have, Jermaine Taylor, both have a similar build.

 

He is not as quick as Von, but he has better handles.....

I hope he makes it, we can use his athleticism....and he did play at NC so he can't be all that stupid.

He was on a full b-ball scholarship....dem type of guys do not go to class..I like McCants a lot but he did have a lot of help @ NC

That team was like the college dream team that season but we have a great team with this addy to this team...

I'm not worried about his attitude winning cures all look at Ron Artest came to a winning team and carved the logo in his hair LOL
