Wasn't it Baller4Life on another thread that claimed he didn't know what I meant when I said Scola had mastered the art of holding his opponent down so that he could get the rebound without having to outleap other players? Not surprising at all that he is #2.
yeah i agree, he plays hard, he draws charges, smart player, hustles, and does the things to help the team win. And so does shane battier. Would you call shane a dirty player??? $n!# no! this reporter has it all wrong. i just hope these new refs dont buy into it
Is holding people down and flopping dirtier than kneeing people, kicking Stoudemire's injured calf or putting your feet right under where Dirk's foot will be whenever he launches a jumpshot? Bowen should be no1 in whenever a list of dirtiest players is compiled. The fact that he's not even in the top 5 discredits this list IMHO
Scola is definitely a Top 5 dirty player, although I think they mean flopper. I've heard many refer to him as dirty though, so where there's smoke...
Bruce Bowen retired. Not sure if he counts. And Harpring is on the verge of retiring. I think the diminished roles of the two in recent years lessens their "dirty" impact.
Scola is not dirty. He just playes tough basketball. Violent dirty players are the ones that love to go below the belt, Scola is just about being tough and standing his ground. I've seen Scola just plow his way through some guy but not before he got hit first. In the NBA the players tend to not respect the wierd looking new guy it seems. like "oh he is here for the hustle" "he wont get any calls", and they play extra aggressive with him as to say, "your in the big league now". So yeah he defends himself, but he's not dirty, or violent. Derek Fischer is violent.
Never make a list of dirty without flopping AK47 and jazzholes. here is my list. 1. AK47 2. Kirilenko 3. Andrey 4. Utah Jazz #47 & 5. Pau Gasol shouting
