It seems like ever since Andre Davis had that fluke game a couple of yrs ago when he ran those 2 k.o. td vs the Jags he hasnt been the same returner. Now he gets to the 20 yd line and just falls down.

It's spelled Alridge. I always liked him when he was at UH (how could you not?), but Anthony has had some fumbling problems. That's why he hasn't stuck anywhere. Hope he gets it figured out, 'cause I'd like to see him play in Houston once again.

    HARSH dude.

Andre Davis sucks at life, he's so overrated by the coaching staff it's not even funny, either Jones or Aldridge should return kicks.

That game landed him a fat contract for sure. But he had another one that year vs the Bucs that was amazing. I think he has it in him, he just tends to disappear a lot for some reason- that's the same knock on him as when he came here. He filled in great at WR in 2007 when Dre was out too. Maybe we'll see him returning kicks now that Walter is back and he's not the #2. He's definitely got the speed if we create the holes for him.

    From Adam Schefter's twitter account...

Adam_Schefter Redskins signed RB Anthony Alridge off the Houston Texans’ practice squad and to their 53-man roster. Also put G Randy Thomas on IR

    That was fast...

Good for him. I thought the Texans should have used him as a returner since there return game stinks.

They may not have started off great this season, but Davis and Jacoby are usually top 5 in yardage in kick and punt returns.

Probably not right away with Conroe product Rock Cartwright returning kicks. Cartwright isn't the fastest or most elusive, but he's pretty consistent (last kr fumble was in 2002).

I can't believe AA made an NFL squad, honestly. He was a hard worker and incredibly fast, but he's definitely on the small side and wasn't known for his hands.

I agree. I just think that the Redskins are in desperate need of someone with some kind of play making abilities.. They're having too much trouble putting the ball in the endzone.

The guy can't hold on to the ball, but he sure can run.
