I thought White had great potential, but looking back on it maybe one of the reasons why the Rox let him go was because White never really showed signs of wanting to stick with the team, something that I found strange considering he's on an unguaranteed contract and had already played several seasons in the D-league. Any other dude in his place would have been crashing into people in the summer league, playing desperately to impress the coaching staff but for some reason White was really passive (although he did play good D). I guess RA and his staff were thinking that if White couldn't play intensely when everything was on the line, how could they expect him to play hard when he's already secured guaranteed money?

At any rate good move by the Rox. We don't really get anything (not even an asset IMHO) but as a personal favor to White this was a classy move. Luther Head might be feeling a bit hurt though lol...

As an aside that vid reminds me of prime Cook. Cook v2? It would be really funny if we end up with Nowitzki lite because of the White trade :D

Wish him good luck...too bad we'll never see that dunk he promised for the first preseason game, but the nuggets are kinda thin at the backup SG-SF positions so maybe he can get some decent playing time there.

You just broke heart all over Flanders AND Walloonia. And they never agree on anything.

    I hope you're happy. :(

Yeah, Morey totally should have gotten Lebron or Kobe for James White. What a noob.

Ok, he won't be in a Rocket uni -but at least we still have a chance to see him in the NBA dunk contest...

I hope he can make the team, but it really seems that he doesn't have NBA level talent beyond his jumping ability.

Lol, we can trade James White, but we can't trade Luther? That's a little odd. I don't really know why the Nuggets would want White, but I'm not complaining. Btw, he's on an non-guaranteed contract. We're not really doing him any personal favors by trading him.

We had a million times to trade Head, but when his value was high we kept him

He did get a favor, because he has a better chance of making Denver's team than this team.

Not surprised, he was a defense first guy, and we already have that in our starting wings.

We did try to trade him when his value was high.
Remeber the 06 draft? We were about to draft Foye at #8 and trade him along with Head for Roy selected by the T-Wolves. You know what happened next.

Uh, yes. Luther was owed a guaranteed $1.92M the year the Rockets waived him. No one wanted to take on that salary commitment.

Meanwhile, James White is guaranteed approximately $0. The Nuggets got exclusive rights to James White for the 2009-10 season, with a free look at him during training camp and the preseason, all for the bargain basement price of the draft rights to Axel Herville, a guy who was never going to snif a Nuggets uniform.

    What doesn't make sense here?

Take it easy, dude! I'm also 'Belgian' (I'm actually not proud of it :D ) ... Axel is a very decent PF, I agree. But I don't know if he is good enough to make it to the NBA.

Not sure where you heard that, but it is completely wrong.

    i.e. David Andersen, Luis Scola
