Is Tender more than 6 minutes??? I love blur...maybe its such a good song that it doesnt seem to go on that long.

This Is a Low, also by blur is 6 min. i think. It's a good thing.

I have both versions, but listen to the Run-DMC version more, so I listed that one.

By saying that it was out of place, I meant that most of the songs in the thread have been rock songs.

Any long Bone Thugs song and almost any Tool song.
Much respect to anyone listing either artist already, and unconditional love to he or she who lists both ;)

Forgot to mention the 12 inch version of "Genius of Love" by the Tom Tom Club.

A classic song from the '80s.

A few people mentioned Meatloaf. What about Paradise By The Dashboard Light?

Great to see so many Dylan songs on here. Here are some great Dylan songs which I believe are all over five minutes long, off the top of my head:

Lonesome Death of Hattie Carrol, With God On Our Side, Only a Pawn In Their Game, Boots of Spanish Leather, Ballad in Plain D, Bob Dylan's 115th Dream, Gates of Eden, Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues, Ballad of A Thin Man, Stuck Inside of Mobile (With the Memphis Blues Again), Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands, Tangled Up in Blue (and almost every song on BOTT, but great call on Idiot Wind), Isis, Joey, Sara, Jokerman, Sweetheart Like You, Don't Fall Apart On Me Tonight, Tight Connection to my Heart, Where Are You Tonight, Up To Me, Blind Willie McTell and Brownsville Girl.

Also Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and Billy the Mountain by Zappa.

"Hey Jude" is the worst Beatles song ever. Whenever that comes on the radio, I long for a sawed off shotgun with double 00 buckshot. Na na na-na-na-na. Wretch.

Of course! How could I forget? Great long, epic song...

I confess to being a Meat Loaf fan of sorts. :) Don't know if "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" is quite long enough to count...

    Dammit!

I can't believe that I left out "Silence" by Delerium featuring Sarah McLachlan.

That is the most *perfect* song that I have ever listened to!

Well, I still like it. It's all the modern bands that overdo and rippoff the "nah-nah-nah-nahs" that I don't like. I still think it's a great song.

I love these trips down memory lane...

    In-a-gadda-da-vida
    Get Ready
    Alice Resturant

Funny, my sis and I went to a local bar (on a Kareoke night) yesterday and she talked me into challenging my little used vocal chords (the set I used for singing years ago). Guess what song I chose? Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald. Dang, I forgot how long it was and thought it would never end...whew!
