Speedy Claxton from the Sixers for the Spurs #1 (John Salmons). There may be some other considerations but that's they main part.

This doesn't seem to make sense to me.

a point was traded for a point... don't think they are having problems with parker, perhaps they needed a backup point. they don't have any gaping holes that could've been filled with that pick, so i dunno. while salmons is "versatile" and all that, where was he during his four yrs in miami? claxton's got game, think they made the right move, although it's really inconsequential.

Good trade for the Spurs. They like Parker, but need depth. Porter's 39 years old, and set to retire. Daniels is not a point guard... that fact has been proven repeatedly. Parker is still young, and learning, and needs someone with him to take some minutes if/when he slumps. Claxton often reminds me of a young Bobby Jackson... has a ways to go, but has good quickness, can penetrate, and really has that fearless mentality when going into the lane. Plus, with his speed, he's a creator, something the Spurs desperately need more of. It's a good move for a late first round pick and a third string center.

that makes sense, but I think Salmons might have helped them. The Spurs could use an upgrade at SF if you ask me.

It was good for the Spurs but I was surprised that Philly gave up Claxton.

Claxton's a good pickup for SA. Guess we'll have to see if Salmons makes them regret it in the long run.

That was a stupid trade for the Sixers. They could've gotten way more for Speedy Claxton than a couple of Rookies and a plyer that is out of his prime.
