Boy I could be wrong but I just doubt if that was really Landry that he would sit there and have a good ole conversation with every fan that starts messaging him on facebook...I met him before in person at Modia during a 610 radio promo deal and he isn't that warm and polite, he wasnt rude but he doesn't seem like the type that would have a nice little conv. dialogue like that with a random fan. I pretty much played him a few quarters on nba 2k8 and he told one kid that he sucked at the game and just talked trash to me during the game (in a fun competitive way though).
Again, he claimed to be working out with Kyle Lowry all off-season. But Jonathan Feigen reported that Lowry has been working out in Philadelphia this summer, and he's only been in town briefly.
and Kyle's twitter account (which is real) has had tweets from him being in nova practicing all the time, he mentioned once he was going to Houston for a few days but outside of that he has been working out with some of the nova alum and current group of guys. Nothing about Landry or anything in his tweets.
It isnt un-believable to think that Battier and Scola would train together, it was reported regularly that they hangout together in their off-time between games during the season. Tho, since Scola has been playing with the Argentine National team over the last month or so, I dont see how they have had much time to train together. Not discounting AR as a poster, but until one could get better verification, I would take all this with a grain(or two) of salt
Think you were played. Scola and Battier didn't work out together and T-Mac was in Chicago the whole summer until his recent trip to China... That's fact. Lowry also like everyone said, spent the summer at 'Nova/ Philly. Carl was here in Houston. If you were talking to the real Carl, then he was throwing you some lines...
i added Carl as a friend as well. Looking at his photos and info though, I feel that its a fake. All those photos are public except maybe one? the one where he is standing next to someone that may be a relative. The info is pretty weak, it just screams fake to me. As for activities it says: "The obvious one, playin ball for the Rockets, we were so close against the Lakers we could taste it!!!" It just seems to me that Lakers part makes it seem fake. Of course, I may be wrong and Carl Landry sucks as far as writing about himself in his info. When he has the chance to really personalize the info he doesn't take it. (other than slapping on some favorite music and favorite movies. Of course, I may be wrong. I still appreciate Aussie Rockets effort. Perhaps Landry will add more to the facebook to validate his identity. But right now I feel stupid for adding him. =-\

afaik, the only person here recently that has shown any real inside stuff is Stevierebel... regardless, I wasnt saying they have been or not, I was just commenting on the fact that Battier and Scola have a confirmed history of hangin out together...notice I expressed the belief that considering Scola's NT commitments this summer, it was doubtful that they had been hanging together anytime recently.
I tried to talk to Landry at a club..he was somewhat receptive.. made a joke about how Kenny Thomas was on the other side macking on whatever looking chicks.. Deke and Super Mario were there that night too..this was a weekend before he was shot.. but anyways..crazy that he's chatting it all up like that
Battier has been in Michigan all summer and Scola has been in Argentina. It was a fake 100% sure! Carl works out in his hometown and has been back in Houston some in August.

thanks for the headsup, I must have missed that. been a real busy summer for me... and on that note...Im gonna go ahead and close this...the comments made dont add up, and until we get any further confirmation of the validity of the Facebook account in question, we are gonna label this as a hoax.
