Watching the NBA Draft recently and listening to dozens of comments made by former players, analyst, and sports writers, I have come to conclusion that these people (that made the comments) would rather take a high school kid then an international player. They would rather take an 18yr old high school kid than an international prospect who has played in the Olympics. Also, do you think if GoldenState or Chicago had the #1 pick and selected Ming, would they have gotten attacked like the Rockets did?

It is just uncomfortable for #1 going to a Chinese.

You are probably right. They would rather give it to an 18yr old high school player who averages 25 points a game than an international player who averaged 37 points a game. Weird

You also have to consider that they did a horrible job researching the players.
