    You know at the beginning of NFL games, where they go through the starting lineup, and there's those little animations where everyone gives their name and their college/university...

    Which Tennessee Titan (and Texas Ex) was it who said as "XXXX, The REAL UT"? I think it was Michael Griffin, but I could be mistaken...

    I'll concur with him.

    All across the Southeast, it's clearly Tennessee. In Texas and most elsewhere, it's Texas

    Larger population.
    Larger school.
    More recent championships in all major sports.
    More national championships in school history (47 vs. the Vols 23).
    2nd most winning football team in history (behind Michigan).

    Just type "ut athletics" into Google and see which one comes first.

    Tennessee started its university first and its college football program 1st. Texas is a wanna be UT. They even stole its colors, but since its so hot down there it turned to burnt orange. Heck, if it wasnt for the Tennessean, Davy Crockett, Texas would still be part of Mexico.
