My last one I believe was in July or August of 2008. I'll try and do that. Sugar Land... but I mean if need be, I can drive across town. lol
He has an office at Hwy 6 and Westheimer (the eyemasters in west oaks mall). Since it's been over a year you'd need a new exam to get new lenses. Wherever you decide to go, definitely let the optometrist know that you've been having issues with your current lenses. Be patient with any new fittings... once you get it right, you'll love it. I wear both contact lenses and glasses. I hate working out or doing any physical activities with glasses on.
Ok, thanks for the advice man. I'll surely do that. Usually yeah, I prefer contacts in any physical activity.
For realz? I have the Toric lenses, Acuwhatever two weekers and I leave them in for at least 4-6 weeks, and sleep with 'em in. I rarely even take them out to clean as my eyes are so watery as it is.
I don't know if she was talking in general or about me, possibly about me because of my eyes constantly being so dry, but maybe this doesn't apply to you because you have a different kind of contact lens.
<br> Bro, i thought the general perception was, if you don't have day and night contacts take them out before sleep...
What I don't understand is why so many people wear disposable contacts now. I have worn nothing but hard contacts for about 15 years. Got a pair of glasses I wear less than 5% of the time probably. What exactly are the advantages in soft? But I love my hard contacts. They're small, don't dry out, and I don't even really notice they're in my eye.
I still haven't gotten used to waking up and being able to see. Not only see, but see so well. Two of my best friends had LASIK surgery and neither one can see as well as I can. Needless to say, if you live in Austin, I know the eye surgeon to see. And he listened to Procal Harum while doing it! A Whiter Shade of Pale was in the background. I would have laughed, but I was too stoned from the meds and my head was very much in the grip of some gizmo. Afterwards, I told him I'd seen them in concert, touring for the LP, and he was astonished that I remembered the music. While I was supposed to be "awake," I was told I wouldn't remember the surgery later. They do one eye at a time, and that was the first one. For the second eye, the doctor made sure the anesthesiologist knocked me on my a$$! Apparently, I have a high tolerance for whatever it is those guys use to sedate you.
I wear glasses to read and watch tv. My vision isn't all that bad so I don't have to wear them otherwise, although I do sometimes. I would never wear contacts though, couldn't get used to it.
Funny story, the Rockets are actually the reason I found out I needed glasses. I could never read the score without someone telling me.
Taking out your contacts at night and putting them on in the morning is so easy... You guys make it seem like it's a huge hassle. The only con is when you want to take a nap, you have to take them out unless you want the worst feeling in your eyes when you wake up.
