I am getting so anxious to see what the Rockets are gonna be like with Ming and Nachbar that I am literally driving myself crazy. I'm seeing all these posts about "Ming is going to surprise all of the haters and Steve will end up loving his style of play". I seriously can't wait another 3 months to see this team play, I want to see them play now, like right this minute! I am not going to read any other threads except this one from now on. Every other thread gets me excited about how kick ass the Rockets are gonna be this year. -CLF
I 2nd that. I want to see how the team will be already. So many possibilites and potential. They now just need time and experience to let them gel. Even though it will be rough at first, it will still be fun watching. Wooooo!
It's like this every off-season... Arrghh! Can't wait until the lottery... Arrghh! Can't wait until the draft... Arrghh! Can't wait until training camp... Arrghh! Can't wait until opening day... Then when the Rockets spiral down into another missed post-season... Arrghh! Can't wait until the lottery... But this year's gonna be different, you'll see
There is an interim step -- World Championships in August. Hopefully some games will be televised, and we'll see Yao in action putting to rest many of the myths about his play.
There is no way im waiting for another 3 months to see them play. I need to do something about this.... Fine, I'll just tough this one out. When do the summer leagues start?
By fan demand, the season should open in July. I am emailing Stern right now, we should not be forced to wait. I say the NBA starts now, and I mean it!
Very much looking forward to those games. August 22nd and 31st are the USA vs China games. The August 31st game will be at 8pm which leads me to believe that it will be televised. Hopefully Nachbar will play with the Rockets on the summer league team and we can get some reports from those games too. Chris Until then, Nachbar, Yao Ming and the rest of the Rockets will see full team action on my PS2 NBA2K2 game
To be brutally honest, this is the first time I've been interested in basketball for 3 years. I used to watch every game, but the product had gotten so stale it was painful to watch (the whole league, not just the Rockets). This has recaptured my attention and with the players that were drafted, I think the level of fundamentals in the NBA just went up.
