I agree with the OP. On here it seems like people use the word douche for anything. Hell someone on this board called a newborn baby on here a douche.
What a douchetastic thread. I know for me, I don't throw the word around for anyone, but there are people that fit the term. Internet or not.
Are you suggesting that because it is screamed more loudly on the internet than it would be in person, that it is somehow more wrong?
Cargo shorts, backwards hat, sandals, watch MTV, use gel the list goes on and on. I think one guy on here even crusaded against wearing jeans.
I'm suggesting that it is incredibly lame to play the "I'm cool, I only listen to specific indie artists because they are the only ones who are true muscians and anyone who listens to anything else is just a douchebag that is being controlled by the media" card.
No. I don't know people who do that in real life. I only see that on the internet. If you and your friends do that in real life, then I guess my point applies to that as well...

I'm not friends with anyone who thinks that someone without their musical taste is a douche, no. I don't like virtually any music on the radio but I don't think anyone who does is somehow inferior.
I 100% agree with this post. I'm sick of hearing people thinking they are better than others because they don't watch a certain awards show or listen to mainstream music. Seriously, whos more of a douche? The real douches are the ones who think they're better and smarter than everyone else because they do or don't do (insert ANYTHING here). Get over yourselves. High school was years ago, grow out of that mentality. You're not that cool.

Since we're on the topic, may I mention that the term itself is rather offensive? In any case, it certainly isn't appropriate to be throwing around so carelessly.
