Robinson was only a regular season "champ". He had no real go to move and never could do anything of real significance on offense. Defensively,he was very good and it took a guy like Dream to destroy him.

Dream is number 1. Horry speaks the truth.

He did not make his team better in those days though. That started happening in 92-93, and the number of team wins went up and his PPG started going up past 26 a game, for 4 straight seasons.

Yes Hakeem is better than Duncan but Hakeem can't make Duncan look worst than Robinson. Duncan has a great IQ. He is too a great player and a future HOF. Duncan is way better than Robinson. There are people out there that would argue with who is better between Hakeem and Duncan

Health and coaches and other players have something to do with that as well.

Can you imagine how bad the Rockets would have been in 89-90 without Dream? The starters that year were Dream, OT, Buck Johnson, Mitchell Wiggins, and Sleepy Floyd. High scorer off the bench was Maxwell at 12 ppg, but he only played in 30 games. No other bench player was able to put up more than 6.5.

By the time the core of the Championship teams are on the roster in 92-93, Dream's assist numbers have gone up from 2.2 to 3.5 and his scoring has gone up from 21 to 27 and his rebounds have gone down. That means his team is getting him better shots, rebounding better, and are preforming at a good enough level to where Dream doesn't have to beat triple teams all the time.

Before the Bulls won their first championship in Zen Master's second year as coach (sound familiar?), they were a slightly above average 260-232 after drafting Michael, but only 108-136 before Pippen. When Jordan got some talent around him, he won. Same with Olajuwon.

You're really reaching here. Don't cast aspersions on Dream.

Robinson may not have been as polished as Dream was later in his career but he had plenty of offensive moves. He averaged just a shade under 30ppg one season as well as dropped 71 points in a single game. His jumper was money and his first step was lightning fast. He didn't have a super back-to-the-basket game because he didn't need one.

Who else chose Hakeem besides Horry?

    Michael Jordan and Alonzo Mourning.

If Hakeem can make David jumpy chasing all his fakes, cross-overs and spin moves, in my opinion Duncan would look even more helpless. Duncan is athletic but not David Robinson athletic.

Go to your site Laker fan

Dream had a suckhole owner in Charlie Thomas with a Nazi pinhead of a GM in Steve Patterson-surrounded by dogs from 88 to 91

indeed, and had sampson been injured, that's another championship or two. hakeem's highly underrated in the eyes of fans who didn't watch him like some of us did. i'd go as high as to say he's top 5 all time. 6'11 C, PF who dominates on both sides of the court. had he been a PF, he'd be the best at that position, no power forward can play with him. not duncan. not barkley. not malone. not anybody.

IMHO, he's the 3rd GOAT, michael, magic, hakeem.

another point, wilt as great as he was, didn't play against the athletes of today's game. he had the size and the athletic ability to completely dominate against opponents, but put him against shaq, dream, robinson, ewing, howard... i don't know. i guess nobody will ever know, and i'm not sold on russell either, i mean i know what he did and how he turned that franchise around, but against the players of today, he might just be like chandler or okafor, players like that.
