I am leaving for home-I mean Houston-Thursday since my dad purchesed me an airplane ticket. Well with 9-11 and all, how early should I arrive to the airport, can my mom watch my plane take-off, can I bring a gameboy color onboard to play with during the flight, and should I be expecting a frisking? Man, this is awesome!
I flew about 1 month after 9-11 and it was not too bad. I flew out at 6:45am though on a Tuesday morning. The carrier was American West. They did a random search of all our bags on me and my wife on the way to Las Vegas, on the way back no search. I didn't mind though. Besides that just the normal baggage scanning and metal detector. I would get there at least 90 minutes before your flight, 2 hours if you are going during the day. You should be able to play your Gameboy before/after takeoff, they will make an announcement to turn off all electrical devices during takeoff/landing. Don't even mention the word "bomb" though, even if you are joking they will arrest you on the spot. Just be cool and have a good flight, you should be fine.
Man it feels good to be home... I LOVE IT HERE!!! Dad even said he's going to buy me a laptop!!! WOOOO
hey, im heading to NY tommorrow. How was the flight? How early did you get there? Did your mom watch you when your plane took off? Just curious cause this will be my first flight also after 9-11.
non-passengers aren't allowed at the gates anymore and probably never will be again. have a safe trip tommorow.
Thanks, I going to be REPRESENTIN the Rockets by wearing my Griffin jersey . Out of curiousity, am I the only non tennager (I am 20) that still wear replica jerseys?

I arrived two hours early and I made it through security with ease. So I was waiting for 1 hour and 45 minutes for my flight to arrive so I just walked around the airport board as hell. My mom was allowed to go back but she didn't want to wait the 1 hour 45 minutes and left. Good thing she bought me a sandwich before I left, the planes sandwich was as big as a baseball. Oh well.
