Is Kid broke? He's doing commercials for a store in Carson, CA.

    Kid Ain't Playin' -- Hocks 2-for-1 Suits

Posted Aug 31st 2009 2:30PM by TMZ Staff

A ridiculous commercial just surfaced in which Christopher "Kid" Reid pushes 2-for-1 suits for a store in Carson, CA ... and trust us, it's the best thing we've seen since Duncan Pinderhughes learned how to dance.

I saw him in the War of the Worlds II movie and knew he was hitting rock bottom. lol. There're some clips of him doing standup on Youtube and he was on some TV One show about former stars and their fall from grace.

Awesome scene from a "classic" movie. Tisha Campbell at her cutest and Martin Lawrence with a career :

Not so much "a career" as something resembling unique talent and potential, not too mention personal likability. You gotta be a real douche (or just give a Def Jam monologue to a bunch of Midwestern tourists) to get banned from SNL. The ironic thing is Lawrence probably makes more money now ($1 - $5 Million per?) everytime someone wants to shoot an ironic kids' film or crappy buddy comedy than he ever did as a (yes) ground-breaking comedian or sitcom star.

Um, has anyone else seen the genuinely distrubing "Dog/Human Hybrid" ad on this board (for officialiqquiz.com)?

Wasn't he banned from the entire NBC network? I remember watching that monologue and thinking "hey this is the same material from You So Crazy."

And to completely derail this thread, I've always thought Tisha Campbell was an under-rated comic actress. She was the best thing about that awful Damon Wayans sitcom.

I remember seeing him a few times as a guest on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect. He spoke quite well on the issues and I figured he had some kind of full time professional career going but I guess not...lol.

Its more than what Play is doing

For anybody interested, House Party is on "TV 1" right now and again at 10pm. At 9pm they'll have an episode of "Life After" where the topic is Chris Reid and what happened after the Kid 'N Play fame. Following that will be another "Life After" episode with his House Party co-star Daryl 'Chill' Miller and his life after the movie, including his struggles after paralysis.
